I think a lot of feds probably keep the fed shit pretty quiet. Some because they sort of have to (that's a pretty small number though) and others because mentioning you have any degree of security clearance is probably a bad idea. Only takes one person who dislikes you and wants to fuck with your shit to accuse you of some bollocks (could be trivial) and in certain jobs they'll take it seriously and look into it. Which could fuck your shit up big time in the mean time.

Best telling everyone you work for IBM or some boring trash. Srs.

Also "Security Clearence" rarely means Fed. If your work involves anything government related you might need some degree of it. Especially in aerospace/anything that interacts with defence.

Just wonder how all them jobs changed after 9/11 as well.

Was there working in FL office as it happened and they rolled out the tv. Remember ppl in the office thinking it was Saddam, but said right away it was most likely bin laden. When got the green card - interview etc at embassy - his wanted poster was already up there on the walls much earlier.

I can only remember crying twice so far and driving back home at 9/11 was one.

Anyways, maybe not related - just what came to mind, lol.

I'm assuming after 9/11 there were a lot more feds...

Not sure if the CIA is as wild as it used to be post 9/11. The stories from the 60s and 70s are fucking crazy. Basically had free rein to do whatever the fuck they wanted as long as the end result was dead commies. Which in hindsight is a noble pursuit.
