I'm 100% Italian so they can trace all my relatives back to the old country.

Lol, Gordon let's be serious. You can put that $8m into a regular savings account and earn $320,000 in interest per year with zero risk. That's $876 per day every single day to spend without even touching the original $8M principal. Your problem is that you still have your money in the markets, so you're worried about a drawdown and losing a big chunk of it. There's zero reason for you to have $8M in the markets at this point.

You can afford to eat better steaks bud.

I'd rather have a burger than a shit steak. Srs.

Pay a little extra for something quality and enjoy it. If you're going to cheap out, get a style of beef that's actually good at the low end.

I sure hope so. Haven’t seen them yet. This ranch only has like 8 cows at a time. Super small. Either way, they’ll be cheaper per lb than yours. Ha!

Lol, yep. He's out here paying $20/lb for some low Choice steaks from Publix. You're out here getting those same steaks for $6/lb

I agree though that eventually you get tired of eating red meat every day, and I'm sure after like 6 months of being in the freezer those last steaks aren't as good. But it's still a really good value.

How did you amass so much besides staying single with no kids? Did you have a very high salary? Or did you just penny pinch?

I feel like $1M isnt enough. $2.5M is the goal but seems impossible.

Oh you were balling hard.

I look at my $83k salary and just know it won't cut it. I either jump ship to entrepreneurship or play the stock market.

If I can hit $200k and live on $80k, $3M sounds very reachable

Not really eating beef right now since my wife is pregnant and can't tolerate beef for some reason. But just for you I will go buy a steak and post it, and it will look way better than what you posted.

$200k after taxes is more like $120k.

there's guys in my former business and other business - finance, tech, medical - today making $1M+/Year. B2B Sales. top Sales Reps. $100K was non-existent for Average Joe Wagies like you 25 years ago. now it's common. inflation. 25 years ago $100K meant something.

36. $31k in brokerage account. I started at 29 i believe, when my company offered a 401k.

New company doesn't have 401k, so $500/month goes in my Fidelity sp500 brokerage.

Ive been contemplating a 2nd job to pay off debt. Would free up $1000
