they probably just taking what they can get in today's female standards marketplace. average looking women will always know they can catch a chad once in a while (with hope the right one will stay) so they might treat an average range man badly/eventually cheat.

from a personality standpoint, women in that 2.5 to 3.5 range might be the sweet spot for men anywhere around average lol. somewhat sheltered from what modern day female privilege has to offer and not on the radar for chad even at the peak of a slow/boring night.
