Is dating in NYC really this lopsided favoring men?

I dunno. I suspect either troll or Chad but not sure which (or both). I remember a great looking guy told me that all his attractive women eventually leave for someone richer and lots of Uggos try to turn a friendship into a relationship (sexual)....he said it sucked cuz of that. maybe similar dynamic re: dating NYC.

btw: statistically it does make sense (re: demographic 20-30yo people/college degrees/city life)

I’ve spent a lot of time in nyc and compared to Toronto it’s night and day.

New Yorkers and especially the women are so much friendlier and more approachable than people in Toronto.

In Toronto you have to approach women at the bar but in nyc they approach you srs.

yes, it is. coupled with the drinking culture in NYC, if you can't get laid there you can't get laid anywhere. NYC is probably the best place for men to date in the world

My buddy works in private equity so whenever they ask him what he does for work he just says”private equity” and most girls get it.

If you don’t have the luxury of telling girls you work in finance or private equity just take them out to a nice spot and instead of getting wine by the glass order a bottle, pretend like you know the wine; say shit like “I want you to try this cab, I always get it here, its phenomenal” even if you’ve never been to the restaurant and never tasted the wine … shit like that ya know

IMO -

you need money to keep a good haircut, good wardrobe, white teeth, healthy skin/tan, grooming, eat quality food and stay fit. you have to look the part.

you need money to be able to go to the hot spots where the girls are and buy the expensive $30 cocktails and apps.

you need money to talk the talk and walk the walk. they can tell if you're faking. they don't want brokies and they don't have to settle for them. sad but true.

Actually I just remembered

This hit sorority girl, the hottest one in my stem classes after graduation she moved to NYC and married some investor dude.

Also the hottest girl in my highschool married a doctor

These guys were decent looking but not like giga chads and average height. Of course that was pre dating apps so women didn't overemphasize height back then
