Walking 2 hours Everyday to burn 1000 calories

Today, I did my first 2 hour workout which was walking on the treadmill at 3.5mph at a 5.0 incline for 2 hours. It felt real easy tbh.

In those 2 hours I got closed to 1,100 calories burned.
I weighed myself at 206lbs at 5’9.
I’m trying to get down to 160lbs. That’s the goal

Walking for an hour at a moderate pace for a 200lb man burns 425 calories . Take out our basal metabolic rate of 100 calories per hour and that's 325 calories. You realistically burned 650 calories beyond your basic needs.

Not trying to disparage but people think they burn far more calories than they actually do. Then they think they can eat that deficit based on overestimated caloric burn, over eat, and actually gain weight.

it depends on ur bmi and how heavy u are is the determining factor how much cals u burn. u may be right if he were 160lbs. but hes most def burning more than 325 doing stair climbers at his weight.

Yeah bro, but like I said I have it at a pretty steep incline so you gotta factor that in. Walking for an hour at 1.0 incline it says it burns around 350 calories an hour. I got it at 5.0 incline so it’s harder to do.

Do a weekly weigh in and mirror test to see if you're losing weight and adjust the calories accordingly depending on what you see. Good luck, keep it up

I weigh myself every month. I don’t want to take any progress pictures because I am self conscious. I’ll make a thread every month when it’s weigh in time.

Not for the misc, for yourself. Just a way to make sure your calories are right in response to what Salty was saying.

Imagine having that much time to waste on a treadmill. Just fix your diet.

Actually I fixed up my diet. I used to drink Country Time lemonade all day. I switched to water only diet meaning I don’t drink calories anymore. That’s 1 thing I changed on my diet.

Good work. That's a great approach. Once you can live without sugary beverages for a bit, fix another thing.

Yeah, I want to see how much weight I can drop by going with water only. I also don’t snack at night time anymore. So that’s another positive
