While bench pressing isn't a particularly useful movement I find the process of building strength on it to be satisfying.

Yeah it feels kinda like leveling up in a video game when you get to add that next 25 or 45lb plate

having moderate str like 225x5 bench, 275x6-8 squat, 335x5 dl and advanced cardio is goated. i will never again attempt to go past 225bench. and i do plan on starting to lift again, im working on a squat bar and seat/bench so i can do the big 3 lifts, and dumbells for flys and curls

Have you got injured in the past going heavier? Strength training is actually super easy and safe. You build strength by leaving several reps in the tank and moving the weight with perfect technique and speed. Then you build muscle with safer movements like isolation stuff.

its not really for fault of injuries, i understand u need to work slower with tendons and ligaments, i just dont see the need to be stronger than 225lb bench 315-335 DL etc. ur stronger than 99% of people and women fancy that kind of build more than a meat head and cardio is easier when ur lighter

im looking at it from a practicality vision rather than hobby. sort of how i view hunting. only for food while most others want the best antler rack mount and the meat is justr a bonus

I see. In that case it makes sense and you could maintain that level of strength very easily with minimal effort.

This sir is a thread for seasoned 15 plus stone athletes who are currently pushing back the boundaries of what is humanly possible not a diary for fat tradies who have finally decided to prise themselves from their cum stained couch.

I might have to start my own thread as I'm the only serious hybrid strength/endurance athlete here. They say you're the average of your 5 best internet friends. I can't have you guys bringing me down.
