Reading this thread is like watching two brothers measuring their dicks. Is it that hard to admit both continents have their ups and downs, and that we can learn from one another?

wrong op.

if I go to safeway or king soopers here in Colorado they usually have some breads. nothing as crazy as your pics showed. but they have bakery section of the store that have French breads, garlic breads, rye breads, etc. basically looks like this. combine all three pics and that's a basic bakery section at any king soopers(grocery store) that I would go to here in the usa. nothing great, but I've NEVER been to a big grocery store with a bakery section that only had those square breads you posted. hell even target or Walmart have way more than just that.

Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.
