Those surveys suffer from a great selection/observation bias. Women will subconsciously report less partners than men, and men will report more. And most of those surveys are outdated, if you study current numbers you will find a significantly higher number.

I have a friend she's been working full time for 10 years as a nurse in an STD clinic in the 14-25 yold group (youth clinic) and she spends her days asking guys and girls about # of sexual partners, ONS, and stuff like that and she says that the average number for most girls is probably around 10-15. While guys then to be on the lower end 7-10. Some guys have a huge number (40-50) and some girls only had 1-2 partners, but she clearly stated the obvious in this generation.

Give me the link to the original survey and I will find at least 2-3 weaknesses in the methodology that will make it impossible to interpret.

1. My numbers come from an expert's observations (the nurse in STD clinic), I never said I pulled those number from a study.
2. The study you presented and all those studies investigating # of sexual partners suffer from strong biases and are level 5 scientific evidence (google the meaning of this)
3. A poorly designed study is as good as an expert's opinion.
4. You post a paragraph without presenting us the methodology for us to appreciate the validity of your study. In other words, you didn't bring anything to the table.


To make it even simpler for you to understand, your study doesn't mean anything and is as good as any miscer's personal anecdote.

Yeah bro, not only is that study like 10-15 years old, it is primarily filled with women not in your generation, and also probably full of liars. The women from that study range from 30+ to 70+ now....

Asking women how many partners they have had has been domanstrably aterribleway to determine how many partners they have had.

Plus if you filter out the women that are just unfukable and skewing results the average will shift as well.
