Being a leo I feel as if I can chime in as well.

Bottom line is this, the kid was in the wrong and so was the police officer.

If a cop tells you to do something you do it. It's that simple. That's what comes with police powers. You follow police orders or you can be charged with a great law that was adopted many, many years ago.

From the get go the kid should of gotten out of the car and followed orders. When you received your drivers license you signed your rights away while driving. Driving is a privilege, not a right. If you're ordered out of the car, get the heck out. Deal with what has to be dealt with, and fight it later.

The kid was being an idiot trying to be Mr bad ass attorney on the side of the road when he didn't even have a pot to piss in. You will not win against the police, stop being a try hard and follow orders.

It's that simple.

I do NOT agree with how the cop continued to taze him and how the cop dropped him on his face. I do NOT agree with that what so ever. The cop deserved more punishment than what he got. On the other side if the kid would of obeyed the law he would of never been in the situation he's in now. Period.

Cops aren't perfect. I don't care if the requirements were upped to have Doctor's degree. You would still see the stuff you're seeing today. Dealing with people on a daily basis and seeing the worse stuff one can possibly see damages your brain. Before a cop dies his brain has been 'fried'. I don't care what anyone says. It will ruin all cops and they view life different. PTSD is very common with police officers, but no one will touch it do to the liability issues.

Check the use of force wheel and see where the CED stands. You can go to taser before going hard hands. Cops didn't write the use of force, this is what the people you elected into power created.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.

Copped ****ed up, kid ****ed up.

Cop should go to prison for 10+ years and the kid should learn to listen to the police lol.

Not sure how you can see stories like this in the news every month and not learn to not fuk with the police.

They can and will kill you with little to no repercussions just because they feel like it. And there's not a god damn thing you can do about it.

The kid's right hand side window was broken and wouldn't roll down all the way. He tried to explain this to the cop(YOU CAN EVEN HEAR THIS IN THE VIDEO) in the 2 seconds before the cop lost his cool and went around to the other side to drag the kid outa the car. The kid hadn't done anything wrong for the stop in the first place, the stop was unwarranted in the first place, and the kid got confused and scared after the cop lost his cool.

Regardless of your opinion, the fact remains that he killed someone with a TASER in anger, and then when it was clearly evident the kid was dead or at least in serious distress he mocked him, picked him up and then slammed him on the ground.

The kid's dad is a cop in Kansas City.

Runnels knowingly lied to investigators, filed a false police report, and omitted details about the force he used, which he was also charged with.

He lied about there being a warrant on the tag. There wasn't one.

He lied about how long he tased him. He Tased him for 23 seconds and he said 5.

He lied about the kids actions. He said the kid was trying to physically attack him. No he was physically attacking a confused scared kid.

He said he answered the kid's questions about what was going on when in fact he refused to and instead went straight into angry use of force.

He said he smelled marijuana but there was no marijuana in the car or in the kid's system - drug test came back neg.

I pray to God you're not a cop.

Just curious, if he was recording the interaction(which apparently he did) with the cop and the cop asked him to turn off the camera, would he have to comply? If the cop asked to search his car without probable cause, would he have to comply?

Don't want to get too off topic, just asking some hypotheticals based on your broad statement above.

Why didn't the miscer just roll his fuking window down instead of being a smartass. The cop was obviously unstable. Unless you plan on trading hands with a pig and doing legit time just do what the *******s say.

The problem is america is full of ******* puasies srs. It haens because they allow it to happen srs. Everyones cool with it. Everyone says omg dat sound but nobody gonna do jack aboit it.

Imagine if every time this was caught on vid the cop was lynched. Usa would be the land of the free again in about a month.

The last guy that tried to stand up was burnt to death live on tv.

Everyone in usa worships the street life . even cops wanna be thugs . lol the president wants to fist bump people and hes secretly disappointed that he cant drop the n word in public lol.

Nobody has the balls in the usa thats why they always talk about how tough they are. I hate to admit it cos half my family is american and my kids are. But its just how it is.

Everyone says that kid was resisting by not getting out. Nobody says why was he even supposed to get out. Nobody realises that if you see that schit going down and you shoot that cop thats not even illegal. If i saw the cop doing that to my kid id be on 5 stars before his head even hit the floor srs.

In the uk and europe cops are way better. Denial cope yanks cant even admit they have a problem cos they have been conditioned since birth that everything is the best in the usa.

If every time you caught a cop torturing people you blew his fukin brains out they would never have the balls to pull this schit on you guys. But you dont, so it will never end.

Too bad in court when they present people as "experts", the jury doesnt know they just did a 30 minute powerpoint and little trophy/certificate lol

You lot are a bunch of fukin kunts srs.

The kid was in the wrong, regardless he has to comply with what the officer is requesting.

The officer was also in the wrong, so much use of excessive force its nearly laughable. I hope he is locked up for a long time.

Wonder what would of been the outcome if the brat cooperated 100% & replied yes sir or no sir & did not resist.
I have a feeling it would be a different outcome.

Cops can do wrong and have basically murdered people or beat them not denying this happens but they are still human & humans do stupid things a cop is not some sort of super human who does no wrong.

Life is a gamble but you can reduce the risk of being shot or tasered by a cop by simply complying with his commands.
