Why is there even a beach next to gator infested waters at this disney resort? There should be a 5 foot seawall there instead of a fcking beach.

Seems gator pulled child in and it drowned.
It let go after that.
Kinda crazy that it was that close to where it got snatched and yet they spent all day searching for body.


"The body of 2-year-old Lane Graves had only a few puncture wounds after the boy was grabbed by an alligator Tuesday night at a Walt Disney World resort, according to a source familiar with the investigation. Lane's body was found Wednesday afternoon, officials said."

The body of the boy, Lane Graves, was found intact about 1:45 p.m., not far from where the boy was grabbed Tuesday night, Demings said.

He likely drowned, Demings said.


"Of course, the autopsy has to confirm that, but there is likely no question in my mind that the child was drowned by the alligator," Demings said.
Demings said the body was found in murky water perhaps 10 to 15 yards from where the boy was attacked.

look man, im not sure if you are just arguing to argue, but lets say this, judging by your avi you have a kid. Im sure you love that kid, and protect her with everything in your power. If you were in florida, at the disney resort walking along a beach at 9pm would you allow your daughter to go into the water for any amount of time? any amount at all? Let alone if there was a sign that said no swimming?

What does that have to do with anything? Boats are gator proof.

How about one sign that says, "Enter at your own risk. There be alligators.", and not put a f'ing pool within spitting distance of said alligators with the intent that you go play in the infested waters? Huh?

Disney had signs around the lagoon warning people not to swim in it.

The lagoon was meant for boat tours and aesthetic scenery. Disney purposefully placed signs all over saying DO NOT SWIM.

No. In fact, Disney wants you to enjoy beach and water. Just don't swim in it because it probably dirty.

You think beach goers who lay on that Disney beach to get a tan, eyes closed, are on vigilant watch for alligators? Is that what Disney meant by the "No Swimming" sign?

Even with signs posted, people are still gonna do what they want and for some, they'll suffer some tragic consequences. It's a hard lesson learned but due to their negligence and not wanting to follow a simple rule that could've prevented an incident, this is what happens. People will continue to do stupid things and that will never change.

The specific design of a beach in that area and placing furniture essentially invites users to that area. There should not even be a beach there, instead a seawall or a gate should be there. At first there might not have been gators in that water, but those things can move around.

I believe there is a lawsuit to be had here against Disney.

But obviously this is also on the parents for letting a 2 year old wander off into water at 9pm at night.
