There was an incident in northern California about a decade ago where a rich guy bought some antiques, and they were delivered by gang members. They came back armed and took several of the occupants hostage at gun point.

Home owner comes out blasting and kills one or two of the attackers, but he gets shot to death in the process. He was using pistols.

If he had come out with an AK things could have ended very differently. But that was in kommiefornia, where AKs are evil assault weapons that only the criminals get to have, thanks to Leland yee.

This alpha old man explains why AR-15 is the ultimate home defense weapon and superior to the shotgun for most people. Way less recoil, 30 rounds ect.

Cant wait to get one once I move back to a state that isnt cucked.

Racking a shotgun or chambering a pistol may sound like a good idea. Except you may not have two hands free. I didn't. I was already in a struggle. He was already on me and it happens very fast. You're already behind the curve at that point. Action beats reaction every time.

Plus if they are truly bad they will hear you rack your shotgun. Now they know where you are...
If I were a bad guy and I were armed and I heard a shotgun rack behind a wall... I'm going to put some rounds through that wall. Just an idea to think about.

If they have the balls to come into your home while you're there then they are not going to run off easily.

If all they wanted was our nice **** they would empty the house while we were gone at work. Think about that.

Anyone coming into your home while it's occupied wants more than your PlayStation 4.

I understand what it is. Im just cautious about posting anything the government can be deemed stolen. I know a S1 guy that posted a couple things for sale that he tactically acquired and got in a lot of trouble for it. I know this isn't a sale forum but it is very well connect. Just my $0.02. I agree with the OP. However, the suppressor negates the argument for SBR being easier to maneuver. Also, there is nothing wrong with say, my glock with mounted light. I am plenty accurate with it in close quarters. I also run a "stick" mag for capacity comparable to a Pmag. Also, there are handgun rounds much more suitable for home defense that wont go through every wall in my house and take casualties. All that being said, my rifle and plate carrier sits in my bedside safe ready to rock and roll if needed. Murica

so the only thing i would do different is take off the suppressor for HD. It would look a little shady if you were to cap someone in your home with a suppressor on. The general public associates suppressors with james bond spy ****/hitman ****.

my plan is to eventually get an SBR. Only have a 16" now.

Even though that's true, if you shoot someone in your home, I don't think the suppressor will be a multiplier for the DA.

Yes. Rifles are not only much easier to hit with they are much more effective. Torso shots are generally a done deal.

Poor guy at least he went out fighting instead of tied up watching his wife and daughter get gang raped. It happened here not too long ago. Guy gave them what they wanted. They tied them all up and raped the wife and daughter many times over then shot them anyway.
