It reminds me of a show I watched earlier today about a guy who had a kidney transplant, but he still went out drinking alcohol. Some people just can't take a hint that what they're doing is destroying them

It has to do with insulin some people produce low insulin so when you spike your insulin with the soda the insulin spike is not very high so you dont gain much fat, but make no mistake you are still at risk for diabetes because you are constantly crashing your blood sugar levels with the soda.

There is a fat couple that I hangout with. I cannot believe how many calories they throw down in a day. They're the type of people that eatout at lunch and dinner almost everyday. If they go to a sit-down restaurant, then they get a desert almost every time.

You left out fruit juices, fruit drinks, beer, and mixed drinks. People don't pay attention to any liquids they consume for the most part.

they have a problem with hedonistic eating which is a food addiction just like any drug addiction. that and self loathing. their satiety signalling is overruled by the brain sending signals to want more, more, more.

I had a guy help me re-do my kitchen on the weekends and he'd refill a 44 oz styrofoam cup of Dr.Pepper 3 or 4 times during the day.

The macros for three servings of a 44 oz of Dr.Pepper is:

Calories: 1649
Sodium: 659mg
Carbs: 435g
Sugar: 422g

This doesn't even factor in whatever his diet was, which I'm sure was complete chit.

Don't understand how people drink the sugary ones, they disgust me. The feeling of the sugar overload in your mouth and knowing how many carbs are in that sticky chit.

I'll happily drink some aspartame though.

I can't fathom how people who obviously have a weight issue decide to drink regular soda? That's literally hundreds (thousands?) of empty calories you could cut weekly without feeling any less full. Like- zero effort or sacrifice required.

If you're in shape or even a few pounds overweight, whatever, go for it. But keeping up with the large Dr Pepper with every meal when you're so large that breathing is hard. Wtf?!
100% agree with this.

I mean, I would feel guilty doing it and I care about my fitness and appearance. How anyone can drink soda is beyond me, period.

Im not saying its all this way.. but depression can phuck with your chit

Go out for a night on the town drinking heavily (alcohol = a depressant) and tell me the next morning you dont find yourself digging for some different food. Fat people feel loss of control so reach for those "feel good" chemicals in the food that will replace what theyve lost

It may be too broad to say thats the catalsyt for all fat people, but that is it for a good majority of people
