For sure. After surgery, the repairs of his skull are meant for random head bumping (hit a cabinet, slapped in the back of the head, car accident, etc). His skull wont be able to sustain repeated physical force. If he keeps fighting after, it's probably a result of progressive brain damage.

In addition to that, the dude is aging (almost 39) and was planning on probably retiring soon anyway. The amount of time it would take for his repairs to heal...no ty men

Thank you for the input.

I feel pretty bad for the guy but I'm sure they know the risks that come with the job.

Damn.

So if MVP had gotten in a few punches while he was down before the ref stopped him, would that have been fatal? Usually you see guys go for further punches even if the guy looks out until the ref steps in

If you choose to take part in MMA and fight for a living, then this is a risk you expose yourself to. A very, very obvious risk. Lots of fighters come out with brain damage. It's unfortunate and it sucks, but wouldn't say I feel sorry for him as if he was crossing the street and someone attacked him.

hory sht that pain he must felt ;__; this is the fate of those who fights for moneyunable to use his brain anymore to work normal jobs or create something that requires cognitive functions. Can't fight anymore one blow to the front of the skull again will be the end of him.
I just want to share the knowledge I have obtained throughout my life and hopefully change someone's life.

Depending on how bad the fractures they basically connect them back together with metal plates and screws the bone will grow back together.

MMA is the tradesman / white trash version of boxing. Everyone has tattoos and no class...

I would rather watch Mayweather put on a master class than some skull fracture flying knee followed by a pokemon celebration
