My understanding of it at least as far as honey, milk, eggs, and other animal products go, is because they take offense at the exploitation and literal milking of the animals for their resources as our own sustenance, when we technically don'tneedmilk or honey or eggs etc to survive. And so, they think it's unnecessary stress or whatever you're putting the animal through for our own pleasure/satiety.

Personally, I don't agree with that viewpoint. But I couldn't care less who is vegan or vegetarian. Let me eat my meat in peace, and I'll leave you alone when you protest on the street corners

Owning pets is wrong, yes. In today's society the best we can do is give them a decent life (while pushing for change on the issue), as if we don't take them in they will either starve or be put down.

I am personally pro choice. Get it? Choice? Did the chicken sign a fking consent form?

So is it okay to eat animals, insects, or aquatic life that don't feel pain? Can i drug my cows first and then kill them? If not... whats the difference?
This is an appeal to futility fallacy. "I can't do everything therefore I should do nothing". We need plants to survive. We do not need to consume animal flesh and/or nipple juice to survive.

To be fair, the vegan community is also guilty of this. Shaming vegetarians for continuing to consume animal products. It's a shame, because I think vegetarianism could be marketed much more easily and to a greater audience. It's a more manageable diet that is also greatly improving animal welfare/Environment etc. Vegans tend to be quite extreme for the most part, though.

bees don't produce honey because they're bored, it's food for their little ones.
but if you think you need it more, go on and let somebody else steal it for you and deliver it to you in a jar.

its food for the whole colony for the winter. the thing is most bee keepers don't take all the honey, they leave enough for the winter, and even if they don't, you can just give em sugar instead.

Cant really abuse bees. they are dying off from varroa mites and human intervention is whats keeping them alive for the most part.

I'll tell all the other veggies that you, a vegan, gave me permissions to buy honey so it's OK.

Thank you for giving me the green card.

Soy farming is one of the least resource and land draining sources.
Many vegans are sugar free, and id even say most use alternatives like xylitol and erythritol
Most alcohol is not vegan

Also provide a link to one "faux meat product" owned by coke or pepsi.
Palm oil is vegan.
Many omnivores avoid palm oil, sugar, and alcohol. So ****ing what? The point is, its vegan friendly garbage. Palm oil is vegan. Refined sugar is vegan. Alcohol is vegan.
As for good sweeteners that ls one thing, but let's not forget a lot of vegan bull**** contains Agave Nectar or some other healthy sounding sweetner that's 85% fructose, worse than sugar itself.

Also, as far as alcohol, vegans love alcohol so much infact there's entire websites that examine and promote alcohol that's vegan friendly:
http://www.barnivore.com/beer
As for your stupidity...
Boca burger is owned by Kraft
Odwalla, Naked Juice is owned by pepsi
Campbells Soup owns bolthouse farm
Silk owned by land o lakes/whitewave foods
And that's just the surface, all of these non vegan, animal abusing companies make vegan friendly foods that you're too lazy to research and suck down like the morons you are.

What do Vegans feed their cats/dogs (primarily carnivorous)?

Especially with cats, this could cause potentially dangerous health issues.

Do they pull back on their beliefs and buy dog/cat food containing meat?

The abortion thing isn't the same as eating an egg, lol. The woman is consenting to the zygote being terminated before it develops into a proper human. A better analogy would be vegans being against women being forced to get abortions while being cooped up in a cage for another thing's consumption (assuming said culture eats aborted foetuses.. groce), which they already are against, so all's well that ends well.
Sorry but that's bullchit. Does a plant consent?

Vegans are short-sighted and rather unenlightened if they think that plants are not alive, sentient, factory-farmed globally, abused, shipped, held against their will, and bred to die.

Everything in the universe is made of the same "stuff" and life by it's definition consumes "stuff". As we become enlightened I can only hope that we learn to balance our need for sustenance with the harmony of our universe and our environment (which is by the way essentially "us"). Humans can not survive in a vaccum, nor without air, nor without shelter from UV, nor without warmth, nor without sustenance, nor without our billions of symbiotic bacterial flora, ...

I wonder if some people even understand the basics of life tbh... or if they really think they are an individual bag of skin who is free to transcend consumption of the matter around it and avoid interacting intimately and sometimes violently with the universe?
Reps. First well thought out logical reply so far.

"Free-range" is another marketing gimmick to make you think that the chickens/hens are actually treated well and live out in the open on some farmer's big field. It's BS; The only thing "free-range" means is that there is a tiny access cut out from the warehouse where a few of the chickens might get to see light of day. Free-range has no legal definition in the USA.
My brother raises free range chickens. They wander around in the same space as his dogs and other animals. So please tell me again how my logic is retarded while providing no evidence 100% to the contrary.

Pets are confined and are not in their "natural" habitat. My brother has a pet pig ... tell me ... what is its natural habitat? Many holes in your (maybe not yours can't tell) logic.
Wont eat an unfertilized free range chicken egg...
see point above. Egg chickens are kept in horrible conditions and get sick/little exercise. again not a fun way to live
So if they weren't are they okay to eat?

Many justify eating plants because they don't feel pain despite them being living organisms...
there is more to it than feeling pain. for example drugging up a cow wont change the fact that it was killed. Most animals have a strong desire to live. And again this cow was probably fenced in and contained all its life
Humans know very little about the universe. How does one know a plant doesn't have a will to live?
Won't eat honey...

yes this one is dumb

while many vegans make the whole thing sound dumb and crazy it really is just based around compassion at what most feel is morally right. People eat meat and feel bad, but they are led to believe they need meat to survive and be healthy. I wish it was possible to spread information on veganism without some meat eaters freaking the F out.

Also being vegan isnt for everyone. I feel every little bit helps. Such as being vegitarian. or limiting animal product intake.
If its based on compassion then they should have zero issue with hunters or native tribes that eat all kinds of animals instead of this corrupted moral crusade against all people not vegan. I'm mainly questioning the flawed cherry picking logic of vegans.

First world problem.

LOL if you think that you can live without doing harm.

Against the factory meat system? Excellent...agree with you.

But since we have a lot of people to feed probably the best that can be done is pushing for better conditions/less cruelty.

Your dollar is your vote.

So if you want to support kinder animal husbandry then buy free range animal products.

Is free range kind of BS at the moment in many cases?

Sadly, yes. That goes back to pushing for better regulation.

If you buy free range vs. conventional though then you are "voting" for free range by creating a market for that product.

If you don't buy animal products at all then why should the producers of animal products care what you think? You are not their customer.

Simple fact: planet has a lot of hungry humans on it. Not all land is suitable for farming and is better able to support ranching/grazing. I don't think we have the luxury to go all vegan.

Individually do whatever you like.

Wanna reduce the demand for food? Eat less and/or don't reproduce.

the biggest problem is overpopulation of humans, use condoms. no need to have to feed 5 billion people when less than 2% of humans are valuable to the planet.

Sure. Or you could just hunt it in the wilderness yourself. I'm all for eating meat, just not for the torture these animals go through before they end up on our plate.

Brah, I gave you a picture of what a standard poultry supplier to someone like Purdue or McDonalds looks like, not what a local farmer raises. I didn't realize someone like your brother is supplying 99% of the chickens we eat in America.

What else do you want evidence wise? A ****ing spoon pic of me in the warehouse? So again, your logic is RETARDED. Go educate yourself about how factory farming works in the US.
