lets see how the misc racists explain this one

he wasn't breaking the law
followed orders to a T

and he's lucky to not be dead this morning.

This type of crap is what BLM is speaking out against, and you have the nerve to call them a racist terrorist group. If this cop goes unpunished I won't be surprised, but it will not end well. So fuking fed up with this

No, such is life in general. Nobody gets kudos for doing as they are supposed to do. I don't expect praise from my boss for doing my job, thats what they are paying me so it shouldn't come as a surprise. What would come as a surprise is NOT doing my job in the way I am supposed to and/or doing some extremely detrimental to the public and/or my company.

If you DON'T think that an event like this should be blasted all over the news then you have problems. Most officers aren't like this and I think that is understood, but by no means should we try and filter this info which would only protect the ones that are.

I see thus far that the obvious is being ignored. This wasn't just a cop that is bad at his job. There is a racial component to all of these shootings that most of you refuse to acknowledge. He would not have been shot if he wasn't black. absolutely no chance. If this type of stop happened to whites like it does blacks, blacks would shut up and stop making it about race. But it is, and if you can't see that you're blind

This isn't sensationalism, it's real life look at this fuking video. He did everything you're supposed to do and got shot for it. He's lucky he isn't dead. These situations happen waaaay too often and usually go unpunished because society assumes all blacks deserve it whenever it happens.

You shouldn't be expecting a praise from general public if you work in IT. Why would you?

but being a cop is not same as being in IT. Right comparison would be Army, Navy and anyone who fights "bad guys". Do they not get praised and awarded just for putting their life out there in danger for PUBLIC even though it is their job?

then why do cops get so much different treatment?

Media is to blame for this sh!t, they treat cops like animals just because it's "easier" to video tape their wrongdoing than it is to tape it in border while bullets are flying everywhere. People don't give a sh!t about what's wrong or right, they want things they can cry about BUT they wanna do it from the comfort of their home.

it's pathetic.

I'm in no way saying what he did was right but rubbing it all over people face just ruins police department reputation and it happens every fcking week because every joe blow has money to buy cellphone these days.

Why did this ******* put it on YouTube instead of giving it to police department so they could fire said officer? because he wanted attention and YouTube likes.

Just because a black person gets shot by anyone does not make them racist.

Because if this were true.....a CHIT ton of black people are racist against themselves......considering they kill each other in higher rates and on the hour/daily.

if blacks are treated differently by cops(shot at any excuse, and sometimes with zero excuse like this one) than whites, it is about race. And this stuff happens to blacks waaaaay more than whites. Not getting shot by the police, but getting shot by the police when you don't deserve it. Happens to blacks.

It was obvious the kid was mentally off and the man next to him was perfectly reasonable and of sound mind AND trying to take care of the kid. At that point, the guns should have been put away or at the very least not ARMED and AIMED at a man on his back with his hands in the air. The fact that they still cuffed him was even more fuked up. They should all be fired.

I'm all for much more stringent training for LEO's and personally think there should be another division of the police that handles cases where someone may be mentally challenged. That would be difficult though, since a lot of the times they may not know the mental state of the person they're responding to.

You have a distorted view of things. No, military and police do no inherently deserve PRAISE unless they go above and beyond the scope of duty. They do deserve respect though, because obviously choosing to put yourself in a dangerous position comes with risks and the rest of the people benefit. Respect and praise are not the same. You aren't going to get praise for doing your job. You signed up for it. You knew what it entailed. Good on you for doing it but don't do it expecting pats on the back.

And it is good everyone has cellphones because events like this SHOULD be exposed and lets be real, when there is no proof and it is your word against a cops, you are fukked....and that is how it always has been until recently. Police officers are not exempt from the law and have nothing to worry about from recording if they aren't doing anything they aren't supposed to.

That's how the news works. People watch the bad stuff because it's less common.

Even then we hear plenty about drug busts and police standoffs on the news all the time. And the local news always interrupts their regular broadcasting to show police chases too.

This is also a valid question. Funny how there's nothing happening in between... it's almost as if it's been edited to show only the worst parts.... hmmmmm Not saying he was justified but it's always odd how this happens and then the last dozen incidents new evidence has come up to show that it was justified. I don't think this one was, and think he should be charged but the past pattern that has been shown can't be ignored either.

BLM is a racist terrorist group no matter how you look at it. Attacking police officers, making racist tensions WORSE. Never mind the FACT that the last several incidents where they've been screaming that the victim was "innocent" proof came out to show that this was indeed not true.

I also offer up this fact as tracked since Jan 2015"Police have shot and killed a young black man 175 times since January 2015; 24 of them were unarmed. Over that same period, police have shot and killed 172 young white men, 18 of whom were unarmed". Who's racist when the numbers are just about the same for white/black shooting by police officers?

See above: roughly the same amount of white men have been killed by police officers as black men. Funny how the shooting of Dylan Noble didn't garnish this kind of mass media attention that others did... Wonder why that is?

That is horse ****. You can't say that since there was no evidence that it wasn't racist that it absolutely must be racist.

As for this:
And this stuff happens to blacks waaaaay more than whites. Not getting shot by the police, but getting shot by the police when you don't deserve it. Happens to blacks.
When 13% of the population is committing 53% of the murders in the country... they are going to be facing the end of an officers service weapon at vastly disproportionate amount then any other race. It doesn't justify police using excessive force as often as we see, but statistically it is why a higher % of blacks are shot than non blacks (when looking at the overall size of that races population in the US.)

Cops can't get respect from anyone if there are thousands of videos for every time they commit a mistake because general public wanna see some "action" and "entertainment".

I never said, people shouldn't record it but they aren't recording it because they want justice, they do it for youtube views and ******** likes. If they really cared about justice, they wouldn't put this sh!t on YouTube for everyone to see it, instead they would give it to his senior so they could fire him from the job.

Agreed as well. I have not had a chance to see the video, only still shots. Cops are not trained to shoot people in the legs, especially while they are laying down, how many shots were fired? Unless the cop unloaded his clip, I would say he may have pulled the trigger by accident (that is no excuse and if this is the case he should be held accountable for his actions), no I' don't know that just speculating. But why in the world at this time would u just shoot an unarmed black man with his hands in the air for no reason at all. The man lived, more than the slain officers can say.. Cops are under a lot of stress right now, and constantly having to look over their backs. Keep lighting up the cops, it's just going to get much worse when cops really get fed up with it. This man does not appear to have deserved anything but fair treatment, can't say the same for the majority of other police shootings.

In Chicago over 4th of July weekend, over 60 people shot and 4 dead. 3 of those shot were 11 yr old, 8 yr old, and a 5 YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were playing, not even involved with the police.. Where is the F**king outrage, that's BS!!!!!!!!!

unarmed doesn't tell you the entire story. They could have still been attacking the cop and putting him in danger, so those numbers , mean nothing without context.

My guess is that at least some of the blacks got shot in situations like this(for no fuking reason) while the white guys probably got shot at absolute last resort

1. there is outrage over this stuff within the black community and has been for decades. You don't know because you arent in the black community and it has nothing to do with you.

2. There is a difference between thugs killing other thugs, which is the majority of violence in Chicago, and police officers sworn to protect the citizens murdering one race disproportiately and not being punished. if you cant see that.....go vote for trump

My guess is that at least some of the blacks got shot in situations like this(for no fuking reason) while the white guys probably got shot at absolute last resort
You're right it doesn't but 24 unarmed black men vs 18 unarmed white men killed in the exact same time frame using the same criteria? You're only part of the problem trying to justify why everything is racially driven when it's not. If this was an epidemic as BLM would try to have you believe, these numbers would be skewed with many more black killings but they aren't. Numbers don't lie. I'm not saying that the US as a country doesn't have some work to do on "race relations" but the fact that the numbers support that white/black deaths by police are roughly the same and yet BLM is screaming like it's the end of the world only manages to divide us as a country for NO ****ING REASON. Racism (whether it be from blacks or whites or Hispanics) is the stupidest ****ing thing in the world and while there is work to be done, it is FAR from the **** the media would have you believe.

I leave you with the wisdom of Bill Nye

you have to consider the fact that there are way more whites in american than blacks, so even if the number of blacks getting shot was equal to the number of whites getting shot, that suggests disproportionate focus on blacks. If all was equal you'd expect there to be many more whites getting shot than blacks
