It's so disgusting that racism towards asians can be so outright and in your race especially in today's society.

Racial equality in American isn't based on the concept of fairness and equality. Let's be honest about this. In American the one who shouts the loudest/fights the hardest wins. The racism towards Asians today is what blacks had to face in the 30s,40s,50s etc which was in their face. It started to change when the civil rights movement started, blacks started rioting and fighting back etc. In short black people started getting more and more aggressive and whites began to gave in. They started to take out their racism on other races and hey Asians were the easiest to pick on since they were a smaller minority than blacks and Asians weren't united. Like a Japanese/Chinese/Korean/vietnamese etc are technically Asian but since most Asians have ties to their country of origin and follow the culture of that country obviously they aren't united at all.

It really is that simple. It's not really that easy to be openly racist towards say a black or a hispanic because the chances of serious consequences are higher. It is easier to be openly racist towards Asians and Asians need to be more aggressive and racially aware and stop being uncle toms.

Your arguements and reasoning are stupid. Just stop. Crying and pointing fingers that Hollywood is racist when in fact it's the audience who supports them by watching. By your logic you should look around you and call all the audience racists instead, that is more appropriate. All these whiners are idiots, don't support what you dislike and support what does financially, money talks. And American movie goers are saying they have a preference for white leads. Make the audience responsible instead of whining victims, you are funding them after all.

So what's wrong with ppl complaining about putting whites inside a film that isn't supposed to have them? See you actually fit what i have been talking about. Just change it to some period piece of say England/white country and put in a non white character and suddenly you would change 180 degrees and complain about it.

Why do you think it's Hollywood's job to fix all this? Hollywood's main job is to make money. Like I said, if there was a Chinese actor that the studio thought would bring more people to the theater than Matt Damon, he would have been casted as the lead in The Great Wall. That dude doesn't exist. Why do I and so many others think that? Because Hollywood is in the business of making money.

How is it 'not supposed to have them'? If a "specific character" that is pre-existing to the film (like Roland, where the story was written decades ago in a book) is known to be white, and Hollywood replaces that character with some other demographic to PURPOSELY appease SJW's, then it's bull****. It's another thing when you randomly insert a character who hasn't previously existed into a film, and that character is whatever demographic (white, whatever), and that character has been written for the film (not pre-existing), it can be whatever the current writer wants it to be.

See, in scenario 1, they take an existing character who is already white, and CHANGE it to black, hispanic, etc. In scenario 2, they create a brand new white character, and people bitch that it's not black, or Asian, etc.

Hollywood films these days have been catering to the Chinese market more and more. That's why films like Transformers: Age Of Extinction had a huge plot point in it that takes place in China. But like I said, when the western public starts realizing just how racist and xenophobic the Chinese are, it's going to be fun watching how Hollywood juggles their relationship with both factions. The Chinese market is reluctant to support films that heavily feature blacks and minorities as the lead. That is one of the reasons you'll never see a black James Bond.
Oh please man changing the size of a character in a poster is the "racism" of China while enslaving a race for 400+ years and finally freeing them because they revolted not because you actually freed them and gave them equal rights willingly sure are on the same lvl.

Why should a movie about ancient China have a non Chinese person? Similarly were the movie about some White country and a non White character be in it you would be complaining about it and this is something i noticed you did not address at all but change the subject matter trying to talk about something else. So a movie with a lord of the rings type of setting has Asian/black ppl in it would you be ok with it?

Here's the thing these idiots don't seem to realize, Chinese/Japanese/Korean/etc studios, are more than welcome to make films that represent the Asian culture. In fact, they do. But the reality of the situation is, if studios want to get exposure in the biggest market, which is America, it needs to have incentives for the general public to watch it. Hence, why a The Great Wall has Matt Damon and other western stars as leads. Let's also not forget the fact that this movie has giant monster lizards in it. But these goofballs seem to think it's misappropriating their culture regardless.

Again, nothing is stopping foreign studios from financing and making films as they please. But for some reason, some people think it's Hollywood's job to change the tide in the industry based on feelings.

I would f@ck Constance Wu sideways though.

Ask the writer. The writer decided to have a white character in their story. Let me guess.. they're racist.

Again, LOTR/The Hobbit is an old story, written by Tolkien. If he had written that all Elves are Japanese, then so be it. He didn't. They are pale skinned. Middle-Earth is apparently not populated with African-Americans because *gasp*.. Africans never immigrated there. If Tolkien had put black people in his story/the directors of the film had chosen to place some black humans in the city of Bree, I guarantee you nobody would have cared.

So it was just a coincidence that the black guy in the poster was minimized? Blatant racism against minority groups exists in China. Asian countries like China, Japan, and Korea are very xenophobic. This isn't anything new.

As for the rest of your post, it's kind of going on a rant.

lol @ "Lord of the Rings setting". Oh, you mean a land populated with Orcs, Goblins, Nazghul, Hobbits, Dragons, and other imaginary beings?

Just look at that dark-skinned Uruk Hai with that racist white-palm of Saruman the WHITE on his forehead. Damn Tolkien, you racist.

It's so sad you always try to change the meaning around. Lord of the rings is in a fantasy setting based on ancient European culture. That is where you will find that everyone in there is white the humans that is. Real cheap shot for you to specifically use orcs and the monsters cos you had to find a way to hide your biasness.

Let's assume the white ppl are changed to non whites or the hero is a non white suddenly you would be offended and your stance would change 180 degrees on your stance about the great wall movie.

Hehe, you mean a Chinese King Arthur for example? I would actually watch that.

Let's assume the white ppl are changed to non whites or the hero is a non white suddenly you would be offended and your stance would change 180 degrees on your stance about the great wall movie.

I used lord of the rings as an example of an ancient european setting and you know what i mean but you try to twist it around and bring up orcs and assorted monsters which ironically reveals your racist leanings by implying that they are black/non white when they aren't even human. See you showed your tail.
