The only thing I take issue with is that it seems we lose hair much faster than we gain muscle.

I've been small framed my entire life; not for lack of working out...but illnesses. I'm still small/thin (by normal standards) -- 5'10-11 @ 141 as of this morning.

If I were to have to shave my head within the next couple of months, I know I'll still have at least another 12-18 months of solid working out, perfect diet, and no more illnesses/episodes to gain enough muscle to not look like I straight out of St. Jude's or Auschwitz. So, I guess I just have to accept my 'sub-humanity' until things finally catch up?

Good thoughts OP. Never understood why misc is so hung up on hairline. Most men lose hair and it's not that big of a deal. Receding hairline hasn't effected my life in the least. Gotta get that military fade/buzz cut and stubble tho.

Balding crew checking in. I have a Panasonic set of clippers that has all sorts of settings, usually do my whole head to 2mm and have to redo it about once every ten days or so. It's so much easier than worrying about it, and I was never going to continue paying for Rogaine or some chit like that, or worry about the side effects of any medication.

Biggest worry now is making sure I get every spot evenly.

It's not a huge deal to be jacked while bald. You can be thin and bald too. One of my best friends is about 5'6/5'7 and 140lbs and really lean. You just have to stay clean cut, dress sharp, and you're golden. The point it to try to look fit or athletic as opposed to frail.

Yea exactly. agree 100% about rogaine and all that. And when I do a 1 with my panasonic, I us a hand mirror for the back and also feel around for hair difference

I can confirm. I went thru same process as OP.

In the end, I realized that people respond to exposed skin. Think seeing a mini skirt out of the corner of your eye. When that skin is healthy and on a confident person, people take notice.

Then there's the fact that it always looks clean cut. No waiting till end of the month to get a haircut. I'm phresh as phuk after a 10min shave.

das it boyo. Exactly right. I get stopped all the time from people asking me stuff, srs. I'll be walking down the mall, and people will ask me something related to my hair. Had this high school kid ask me if I was an olympic swimmer or something lol. In cali this old black dude kept guessing what I was. First he asked if I was a marine or navy seal or something, then asked if I was a football player lol. Just the other day I went with my friend to her uncles American legion where he rents the kitchen and serves food, and everyone asked if I was a soldier in the army

At bars I had chicks asking about my head all the time. Some want to touch it, some ask why I shaved my head, and one lady legit ripped my hat off while I was leaving the bar (was cold out) and said keep it off bald is sexy af.

if you're confident about it, people take notice. Being fit and muscular helps too, but most importantly be clean cut and somewhat in shape

I am receding, pretty close to a Norwood 2 at the moment, seems to have stopped a bit, but we'll see in a couple years. On the point about it being all in your head... it's pretty true. I had a friend when I was 22 before I had lost any hair and I had a mate that was 24 who would have already been a solid Norwood 2 with a buzz cut. I literally have no idea that he was receding... like.. looking back I just thought it was a hairstyle. Only when I started receding have I actually noticed other receding/balding brahs... girl are fukin clueless to this ****, especially if you do as OP say and just shave it and not try to hide it or do some come over chit.

Yup, great comment. The joking can be funny, but all the constant threads and negativity towards will get some guys to actually believe it. Misc is powerful like that. It is definitely a mental thing ingrained in our heads over the years of movies/tv/media/social media demonizing it a lot of times. The only positive light bald gets really is from A list actors that are alpha like Dwayne Johnson, Bruce Willis, Idris Elba, Tyson Beckford, etc. It is always portrayed in a light like it is unhealthy and aging, or ugly and destructive. That only happens to betas though.

I'm a bald brother, but being bald has never been my problem. It's the chit health and poor diet and obesity that has gotten me down. I was 250lbs last year. Down to 170lbs again now. Cutting to 140lbs before going on lean bulk.

Facial aesthetics have improved incredibly having lost all the fat around my face, and a few months back when I was still chubby but no longer dreamer bulk Flapjacko mode, these two cute as hell sisters at work (19 and 22) complimented the hell out of me. 19 year old said I need to start dating now after pointing out my massive weight loss. I said nah, I can lose the weight but can't lose being bald sadly, she said, "Whaaat, you look good. Doesn't he *sister's name*?" Sister replied, "Yeah, I was just looking at him earlier and thinking that actually.", back to first sister, "Yeah, you're fine." Mind was blown after feeling like a fat bald sack of chit for years. Especially as a 29 year old brah getting that from two young sloots.

Still, no sloots until I reach my goal leanness.

Especially as a 29 year old brah getting that from two young sloots.
