I guess that's why they're all moving to Texas. Better job market and it's dirt cheap out here. This house is 306k in Mansfield Tx. Tarrant County area.

OP's house is actually pretty cheap as a renovated house is in the $500k region in beautiful South LA 'gentrified' areas.

350K gets you a really nice 3 or 4br home in Texas some in gated communities. Now I see why people from Cali are flooding Texas.
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now out numbered by those who vote for a living.

I have a home in downtown austin. Zoned in the historic district. The house is 1200sqft, literally a little better than the green shack in LA posted above. The land value is $650k. The home on top is worthless to me but generating enough rental income for me to make a little bit of money while I let the lot value continue to appreciate.
That make sense?

LOLing at all the responses ITT.
Yes, Texas is much better because everyone deadbeat who cannot afford living in LA moves their sorry azz down to the cheapest place they can find.
I just have one thing to say: that's absolutely right. LA is absolutely terrible. There's so much traffic and gangs everywhere and mexicans and just... bro just dont come here, even to visit. This place is just terrible so please stay far away for your own good.

Looks alot like the home i grew up in in boyle heights la
It is better to die on your feet, than to live a lifetime on your knees

The odds are great

My faith unbreakable,
My blood is pure.

Came in not expecting much, leaving unsurprised.
In the area I am in 350k would not put you top tier type of housing, but you are well into the upper middle class/lower upper class type of neighborhoods.
