Even people that like the game have complaints, with the menu management and repetition and it apparently doesn't get fun until 20 hours in. Since it's buggy on the PC version maybe they'll be able to release patches to fix some of the common issues people have along with the multiplayer problem.

I pre-ordered it. Haven't played yet, as I am traveling and my laptop can't run it.
I think it looks really chill. That is what attracted me to it. I play a lot of action games, and it's nice to have one you can play and relax. Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator have been my go to games for this feel.

Just lol at how that ******* murray cucked so many gamers. It was an indie game but they took advantage of the hype and made it full price anyway. I swear ppl fall for trailers so easy these days, not just with games movies too.

I always loved Minecraft. On this game, are ANY of the species cool looking? From the videos it looks like just randomly put together parts that create random animals, none of them make any logical sense therefore it's not cool.
Are any of the planets actually interesting?
Also, what they should have done is create No Mans Sky as a sort of open source code, not a game itself but just the planets/platform for other games to build on. They charge other game developers to write to it, and then people make games WITHIN that universe. Factions, civilizations, etc. Now that would have been a good idea.

I was hyped AF for this game ever since it was announced, but I had feeling I was going to be slightly dissapointed.
Sure enough, after about 5 hours I was bored and I haven't touched it again, nor plan on doing so. Game is too barebones as of right now. MAYBE updates will actually make it WAY better.

got 15 hours in on this game.
Was entertaining and then I hit a wall.
BRB.
1. Port to new galaxy
2. Visit the space station to sell stuff/get rep with the alien trader
3. Scan the planets, something comes up, go land on it.
4. Search the planet a bit more until I get bored since every "object/encounter" is the exact same. Land, get out of ship, finish "object/encounter" within 1 minute, shoot some resources with my laser, get back inside ship and find next randomized place to visit)
(There are either Alien Ruins, abandoned buildings, waypoint beacons, Traders. All which look the exact same/react the same way when interacted with)
5. Realize that you could literally spend your entire life trying to find everything on a single planet. So its pointless to stay, and then you realize its all the same exact thing with like the 4 "objects/planet encounters" (see above)
6. But why would you want to stay on the same planet? Eventually get bored. Zoom back off to space/leave planet.
7. Once in space, maybe land on another planet within cruising distance inside the same galaxy? Nah. Port to another galaxy because its more interesting right ? But not really?
8. Start back at 1 like Brian McKnight

This is what is so bad about modern gaming. Get a big company to pick up some indie title, throw massive amounts of cash hyping it up, hold back game play, make 100s of promises, give vague answers to core questions, charge something ridiculous like $60 when it should be $20, get all your money and bail/defense mode when people realize out how big a piece of sh*t it is. I called this out as soon as I watched a few videos about it. I don't get hyped over any games, and developers announce titles way too early so even if the game is half ok it can't beat expectation with such a build up.
To the guy going on about Overwatch, like HOTS that population will be half gone within 1/2 a year. You either rule a genre, be in the top 10 earnings for e-sports or it fizzles. Blizzard used to only produce the best of it's genres, now it's making second-rate titles and using a cash-shop/skins business model with cheap development costs. No-one can take Overwatch seriously when you have CSGO, just like no-one now takes HOTS seriously when you have mobas LOL/DOTA 2. Blizzard's last 3 titles have followed the same new pattern, though HEARTHSTONE was pure genius and that rules it's genre market with an iron fist.
I am loling though at all the angry fan made videos about "NO MANS SKY", especially that Jurassic pack one, I was in stitches.
Watch 1 interview with their main PR guy and you just know from his answers and behavior they are slimy pieces of sh*t making a turd game.

Game was fun for about 10 hours until you realize every planet is pretty much same thing with slightly different color. Harsh weather, toxic rain, and extreme heat on planets literally dont matter because there is plenty of resources that will let you fix your space suite on the fly. The stupid sentinels and animals are NO threat u literally run away from them in 15 seconds.
Animals all run around in circles and have similar walking patterns. Trex does same amount of damage to you as a small little cat looking animal.
All the planets have same resources and there is only like 15-20 resources in game. There is barely any reason to upgrade ship , suite, or the gun .... it just lets you store more resources before you have to go and sell it off or you mine the minerals faster but for what purpose though.
To finish this rambling you will see everything in the game in first 3-4 hours ...
I knew game was **** though thats why i didnt pay for it. There is no way this game should have been more then $20 ... i would have paid $20 for it and felt that it was worth it considering i sinked 10 hours into it.
