The people up top decided about 3-4 years ago that the misc was bringing too much "unwanted attention" to this site, mainly because people on the misc are not scared to tell the truth about supplements being nearly useless (bb.com makes most is revenue from selling sups). Therefore they had two options, either delete the misc completely or just gradually strangle it down to nothing.

Go check all the other parts of bb.com forums, it's full of people swearing by supplements and shining a positive light on that industry, then compare it to the misc and you will see why they want to get rid of this place.

From a business perspective, I don't blame them.


Also, the bad press they get from psycho's like "the supreme gentlemen" and such, but that's another conversation entirely...

Everyone has moved on to Reddit where quality posts get pushed to the top and where they can hang out in subs dedicated to topics they specifically enjoy, rather than having to scroll through tons of chitty threads.

Most of the top Misc threads are copied straight from Reddit. Internet forums are dead, boyos. It's amazing that this place still has this many people regularly visiting as is.

That really is the whole point of "miscellaneous" on a forum but it's very odd that this website has big rules on what's posted on here even though you're suppose to be allowed to post whatever you want on the miscellaneous part of the forum. Other websites the same subforum but with way less moderation and thread deletes

There's only so much one can take of sloots/balding/Manlet/rotting etc. and just general hate, negativity and pessimism. Misc has become a toxic sh!thole full of pathetic fukwits and most people just can't stand being around that kind of sh!t for long. I used to regularly come on here and open 5-10 threads from the first page that all had good titles/were popular but now I'm lucky to have 3 threads to open and check out because the front page is full of threads about the things I listed above

I know misc has always been full of trolls but they used to be fun and they set out to make everyone laugh. But the trolls here now are just trying to ruin the mentalities and confidence of miscers. Misc has never been more full of insecurity. It's not good

On top of this, the forum layout and function is atrocious. Ask anyone who's tried to use mobile misc. And most people probably browse stuff like misc from their phones these days. The site/company just refuses to update the forum
