i think this speaks volumes to my comment about traffic here.

this has nothing to do with school being back, laborday weekend, posted at 1 am by me etc. it's apparent that there is less activity in this section over time. everyone who gets on within 24 hours would have seen that thread and likely participated. didn't we actually make 10k posts in 24 hours like twice 2-3 years ago?

- Message boards in general are declining, Its all about instagram/FB/youtube now.
- All these dumb reddit wannabe posters who have no interest in fitness and are just here to flood the misc with their garbage.


There is no denying that this forum is now like at 30-40% of its peak. I remember posting a thread in 09-12 and it would be deep into the 2nd page or 3rd page within 2-3 minutes.

mods killed misc... way to trigger happy with the bans. its a fourm full of alpha men which made it great and funny. you give stupid ass rules and restrictions to alphas and the result was the death of a great fourm

when i first started miscing the reason why i kept coming back was because the interesting topics, and the BIG thing was the crazy topics with bros posting pics and videos of funny situations that happened. nobody posts topics like that anymore. that was when the misc forum actually had legit bros on it.

like that miscer with a stage 5 clinger, a miscer who get girls preggo, miscers who had a cringy date, ect....none of that is on the misc anymore. seems like only losers who never leave their bedroom are on the misc now. the bros who actually lived live got banned and are still living life.

seems like when a miscer gets so popular and cool, they end up getting banned...i guess because the mods want to be the only "cool" people?

This.

As a lurker, the thing that brought me to the misc was the story threads. People would do the dumbest things, provide stories and pics, and you'd have a front row seat to that **** as it happened. Someone fighting with their boss, throwing candy at girls, FA wat do moments, you were a part of all that.

And now we can't have that anymore thanks to detectives.

All there really is to do now is fight about the same dumb 20-some guy **** over and over again and recycle content from other sites.

Actually I remember in 2011 reading threads on how the Misc is dying and is nothing compared to what it used to be. I'd do anything to have that 2011 misc back again.

Like most people said, the crackdown on quality threads. The bans on good posters. The detectives, and the influx of FA's taking over the misc really ruined it.

I remember opening up the misc and grabbing 10 tabs of threads, Then refreshing 30 seconds later and grabbing a completely new 10 and they would all be lulzy.

I'll probably look back a few years down the line and wish for the 2016 misc.

use to be exciting to misc cause of how fast=paced it was, you never knew what thread was gonna pop up. now i know i can check misc once a day and don't have to worry about missing anything on the front page. i need some new forums boyos

u know, i tried checking out reddit before but i didn't like how the interactions went. i like how the format is here for comments plus most people here do talk about lifting + other interests at times

i've actually be browsing reddit again to see if there are any good subsections to subscribe to. wish i knew what to add. pretty much been adding bodybuilding and some funny stuff as well as grooming type stuff. would be interested to see what other good things to add on there are. may actually break from misc for awhile and just check that out as far as forums go

Just doesn't fit the times anymore, forum format was a thing of the past when I joined and it's pretty much been on borrowed time for the past couple of years.

Pretty much just lurk the firearms thread and S&P thread now TBH . Sports misc on the decline too
