MLOK and Keymod both have great accessory support. It's really just a question of dicks or bars. Ultimately, we're just lucky to have available rails that aren't full-length quads or proprietary attachment systems. Chances are good that you'll end up throwing a piece of pic rail on whatever rail you buy for any attachment though.

Can't find one. You looking for poi in relation to a specific zero distance?

100yds will rise to line of sight at 100yds and fall, allowing you to always dial up on your scope, rather than dialing down for ranges between 100-200yds.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Since I have a scope with mil dots, I was thinking that I should pick a zero and make a dope chart for the stock so that I can just do holdovers for given ranges instead of treating the EBR like it's a 300 yd AR15.

I could see 14.5" without a long flash hider being pretty standard if so. It's a little shorter and handier, still allows a nice costa grip if you like, plenty of velocity, and of course is that there military M4 clone length....and then like 12.5" maybe popular on HD intended rifles. But right now who wants a middling length like that when you have to jump through NFA and then don't even have ashortrifle?

Do a 100yd zero. It's easier if you have a zero stop, as you won't need to dial under your zero.

Do you know your muzzle velocity with 175gr?

308 : 100 yard zero for precision
I like 1.5 inches high at 100 for 308 hunting rofles. Also depends on what weight bullet you are shooting and like you said velocity.

Ike, this using a 175FGMM at 2,600fps from a 22" barrel (let me know if your barrel is longer). I put 100ft for altitude as I believe you are near sea level.

Looks like you would hold a mil for every 100yds starting at 250.

KAC bullet flight. I use trasol now, but I would need 15 fields filled about your rifle.

This is adjusted to 2,500fps for your barrel length. Again, it's a rough guess, but should be pretty close. Looking up a few M14 threads and Larue OBR 18", they all stated 175 was running about 2500fps.

The more compact your environment becomes, the bigger the advantage. There isn't any advantage if you're outside and not getting in and out of vehicles. I think you'd have a ton of 11.5"/10.3" SBRs if they didn't require NFA adherence, but I also think that you'd have a lot of 16" rifles still. You get a good blend of handiness and midlength gas smoothes up the action a lot.

I love my 20" AR because it's insanely easy to shoot and BCM does a great job on those rifles, but the 16" is definitely easier to set up behind. This is not surprising considering that the 16" setup gets probably 90% of the product support/development, and the rifle's been around for 50+ years now.
