I specifically tell new parents to leave their kids at home when I host, but that's mostly because they have 1-3 year old poop machines. Policy won't change until their kids are over 15, unless they can properly demonstrate how to reload a rifle and scan for threats Costa style. That kid would be fun to have at parties.

I have FF III's on multiple guns. They hold up great. We have customers with FF III's exceeding the 10k round mark on slides, so for measly AR recoil you shouldn't have any issues at all.
Only complaint I could see you may have is wanting more field of view on a rifle. Something that isn't as big of a deal on a pistol but for some could be an issue with rifles.

The more I read the more I'm leaning towards swapping out with a midlength gas instead of rifle length for my 16" because of dwell time. If I throw a middie in then do I need to do anything to the buffer? I've never fukked with it before so it's just the stock Colt buffer, whatever they put in there.

16 in on a rifle system is prob too short to run right(I am guessing). midlength is a good choice
Are you changing the barrel? You do realize you have to plug the gas hole and then drill another if you are using the same barrel.
H or H2 buffer would be good. The colt is prob a carbine or H. Just weigh it on a scale and you can check.

yeah I did. I've just looked into the differences a carbine vs midlength gas system, haven't actually looked into the process of switching

I realize that, but anyone can look at photos of different gas length barrels and see that they aren't drilled in multiple places and you don't just get to choose your gas system with one barrel lol

Apparently the Atlanta office is shutting down so everything from the southeast is being sent to NY.

That was the reason for being fuked up. Probably a crock of shiit.
