What's this got to do with bending phones and loss of reception being the users fault?

Damn OP. You are really invested in the status that you seem to think using Apple products provides you. Like a 14 year old girl.

I'm not a hater. In my family we have mix of android and apple. I have made a LOT of money on apple stock in the last 10 years. Mostly because people like you prop up a brand for arbitrary reasons and pay a premium for hardware that should cost way, way less.

So thanks, I guess.

2) Apple has recalled something as little as the power cube because something happened like once or twice. Even more conservative.

3) That laptop is from like 10+ years ago before the unibody era when battery tech/quality was still evolving.

We are talking about this happening today in 2016, on a phone. Laptops have much bigger batteries and commonly expand as a symptom when they die - for all brands, Apple isn't immune to this. But they don't explode, just expand.

In 2016 that rarely happens now. And especially not WITHIN THE FIRST FEW WEEKS.

It takes years for Li-iOn batteries in Laptops to expand. And the life of a battery is limited by advertisement. Not even Apple has alternatives to Lithium Ion technology.

Samsung S7 is something different, just bad engineering. Has nothing to do with the limitation of lithium based battery tech. Its just a bad manufacturing goof lol.

Bad comparison/bad analogy.

lol lol lol lol enjoy your 5.5 hour long battery life for the day on regular usage lmaoooooooooooo

Samsung is just faulty for rushing their development to the point of making mistakes just because they are so desperate to race with Apple which is pathetic.

And like I just said, Apples phones weren't bending. I had a release day iPhone 6+ and it was fine. 1 out of a million had that problem and it was because they were too aggressive or sat one their phone like an idiot. The Note bent just as easily and other phone even easier.

Thats because its out of warranty. Batteries are rated 5 years max and need to be replaced/serviced. Also it wasn't gonna explode, it just expands.

New phone is the most powerful processor and GPU in the history of mobile phones. Faster than most desktop computers from 5 years ago or more.

I guess one mans trash is another mans treasure. Enjoy your trash-ware OS and crappy battery life on screens that look blue and unbalanced.

Don't forget to restart your phone and power cycle it every day or two so it runs at normal speed. lol lol lol lilllll

Thats because they need to install Virus software and use up all the processing power since the OS is trash lolll. Not to mentions freezes and crashes. Bloatware.

It has two actually. thats 24 MP total.

(or if you werent a retard you would know overall camera tech is more vital to HQ quality photos and images than megapixels)

Does matter what MP your crap device has, its still not as good of a camera. iPhone literally has DSLR quality tech now.

Wut? Apple A10x chip waaaaayyyyy more advanced than crap-cores released by Android. To the point they are saying they might put them in MB Airs in the future.

"Earlier this month, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note 7, its newest smartphone with a 14-nanometer Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM, a 12-megapixel camera, waterproofing, and wireless charging.

Spec wise, the Galaxy Note 7 seems to best the dual-core A9 processor and the 2GB RAM of the iPhone 6s, but based on a new speed test, it's clear raw hardware can't quite match superior hardware and software integration when it comes to real world usage.

In the performance comparison in which the two phones simultaneously launched the same apps, Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 was thoroughly defeated by the iPhone 6s, despite the Note 7's cutting edge hardware and the fact that it's a year newer than Apple's latest iPhone. "

This is the old gen iPhone beating the newest gen Samsung. SUPER EMBARASINGGG

And the new iPhone 7 A10X chip is even twice as powerful as the 6S in the vid above!

Apple is wayyyy ahead.

Best processor
Best OS
Best camera
Best battery life
Best at not exploding in your hand

Best in the history all of mobile phones. Point. Blank. Period.
Not a single fact was posted.

I don't know how I can make this any clearer. In your opinion iphones major problems are user caused, this seems to be limited to Apple. So I want to know whether the problem is that iphones are needlessly difficult to use, or whether it's that people who buy iphones tend to be dumbasses, in your opinion?

If there's a third option I haven't thought of, let me know.

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

I never said iPhone has major problems, user created or not.

In my opinion, iPhones are great! The best phones for the last 10 years in a row now.

I'm referring to the problems mentioned by other people, loss of connection, bendgate, which in post #108, the first post of yours I responded to, you claimed these were created by a huge amount of users not being able to figure out their iphones.
I can only think of two ways this could be possible, either iphones are needlessly complicated, or iPhone users tend to be dumbasses. I was curious which it was in your opinion (assuming you are right that the problems are caused by people not being able to figure their iphones out).

Interesting to find out that Apple customer service is so unorganized that the same issue wouldn't yield the same result for the same product.

Guess that's another L for Apple cs.

Have past releases of the iPhone been any sort of innovation besides the original? I'm confused by you posting this quote.

They are constantly doing small updates to each model with features already being used in the industry. I mean it took them how long to even come out with an iPhone that had a decent sized screen?

Samsung has urged customers to stop using its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones immediately and return them for exchange as soon as possible, after more reports of the handsets catching fire emerged.

"We are asking users to power down their Galaxy Note 7's and exchange them as soon as possible," said Koh Dong-jin, Samsung's mobile president. "We are expediting replacement devices so that they can be provided through the exchange program as conveniently as possible."

The advice comes after U.S. aviation safety officials warned airline passengers not to turn on or charge Note 7 model handsets during flights.

In the unprecedented move, the Federal Aviation Administration also warned passengers not to store the phones in checked bags, citing "recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung" about the recalled devices.

Last week, Samsung initiated a global recall of the 5.5-inch handsets after faulty batteries were blamed for 35 reports of exploding handsets and devices catching fire.In one case, a family in St Petersburg, Florida, described how a Note 7 phone left charging in their Jeep caught fire, destroying the vehicle.

On Saturday in Brooklyn, New York,a six-year-old boy was left with burns after the Note 7 he was using to watch videos exploded in his hands. The boy's family called 911 and he was taken to hospital. The boy has returned home following treatment and the family has been in contact with Samsung, but declined to comment further.

In another incident last week in Perth, Australia,a man's Note 7 exploded while it was charging overnight in his hotel room, causing $1,382 worth of property damage and leaving the handset "completely fried", said the owner. Samsung offered a replacement device, and the company confirmed that it was arranging to cover the bill for damages to the hotel room.

Samsung shares fell to their lowest level in two months on Monday, wiping $14.3 billion off the South Korean firm's market capitalisation. "Some said initially the Galaxy Note 7 could be the best smartphone ever, but now its possible the phone will go down as the worst ever," IBK Securities analyst Lee Seung-woo told Fortune, predicting weak sales in the fourth quarter.

Some commentators have blamed the flaw in the device on a rush to manufacture, given that Samsung launched the $900 Note 7 about a month ahead of Apple's iPhone 7 announcementin an attempt to pre-empt Cupertino.

Not sure if srs.

You realize every smartphone today is more or less a direct copy of iPhone 1.

what point are you trying to make?

1st gen large screen phones had poor quality screens, the tech wasn't there quite yet those years, thats why apple waited till it met their quality standards so we weren't missing out on anything anyway.

Men used to argue over who drove a better car or truck. Or who has the better way to build or fix something

Now they argue over who has a better phone.

I'm a 50 year old software engineer and built my first computer in the 80's. I consider myself educated (Degree in Applied Math and programming for 30 years). I've forgotten more about technology then you will ever know.

Fact is, both android based phones and iPhones provide comparable functionality. In most cases, top tier android phones have better hardware than Apples, but most consumers won't ever notice a difference, except with the camera.

In the case of the software, Android is infinitely more flexible than IOS. Example: My daughter recently broke her iPhone and we replaced it. The iTunes library was still tied to the old phone (which wouldn't boot) and we had to jump through hoops to put the mp3s that I manually loaded on the phone into the new one. You had to fool iTunes software by making a play list from your hard drive then syncing it. It's a horrible workaround. When I got a new android, I simply popped the microSD chip out of the old phone and into the new one. All my songs and pictures were now there, ready to use.

If you want to delude yourself into thinking Apple is better and somehow elevates you, that's cool. Like I said, my investment in Apple stock has been a triumph courtesy of "educated" consumers like yourself.

My s7 edge seems to be made of fine crystal, it's cracked so many times.

Now I know why samsung gave me 2 of them for the price of one and threw in $400 credit... absolute garbage glass and costs 350 to repair

thats why i quoted the steve jobs quote.

do you understand now? how it relates?

Meaning apple sometimes pushes the market to adapt new tech like with iPod, iPad, the new connecter, and most recently wireless headphones.

and some consumers complaining at the concept of change.

get it?

As much of a fanboy as you are, I agree with you regarding the move to go to bluetooth exclusively. The technology is far superior and just as affordable.

Those years your making it sound like so long ago lol. I have a hard time believing apple couldn't produce a quality screen before the end of 2014.

Sounds like your agreeing with me on the part where apples only innovation was the original and since then are leaving pushing the envelope and innovating to the others. That quote would be more effective 9 years ago but nowadays they just watch and then make their moves. It's ok though because they still advertise these features as new and exiting and people eat it up. Apple is definately a beast at marketing

Like I said, my investment in Apple stock has been a triumph courtesy of "educated" consumers like yourself.

its not comparable the quality is bad you're just used to it. like i said, having to restart your device every day to maintain smooth behavior is standard practice for android users even in 2016. google android garbage collection.

battery sucks. thats not an opinion, its a benchmark.
performance to spec ratio sucks, thats not an opinion, its a benchmark.

better specs but worse performance means you should never mention specs again in one of these debates.

I stopped reading at manual iTunes. nobody loads song on phones anymore. cant you afford itunes match and apple music???

being to poor to use the apple eco system correctly isn't a valid criticism on apple.

Keep playing high road. You questioned me, implying I was uneducated. I reply and you act the clown.

Because that's what you are.

A clown.

Like I've said repeatedly, it's the Apple fanboys like you that are swelling my brokerage account and helped pay for my rental property. So thanks.

Keep posing son. It's all you're good at.
