CandyJunkie had made dozens of threads saying he was gonna off himself, and it never amounted to anything. So by the time he made the thread where he actually went ahead with it, people were so tired of it and basically assumed he was a troll.

Of course there is the odd psycho here, on a message board with thousands of members. But the majority, had they known he was sincere and it as a real possibility, would have reached out and tried to help.

Well out in the real world, parents/teachers/peers/media/etc tend to lean heavily towards pro-woman narratives, as well as pushing unhelpful advice like "Just be yourself!" or "There's someone out there for everyone!" or "Girls like a gentleman! You gotta treat her right!" or "You better man up and be the step-father to an aging single mother who rejected you while young, got knocked up by Chad, and now has no better options! If you don't man up, you are a MISOGYNIST!"

As someone who grew up without a father or brothers, these are the kinds of messages I had. I literally used to think that masculinity was a bad thing and something to be rejected.

Zyzz was what got me into lifting, but Misc taught me about how WKing is bad, how sloots gonna sloot, and so on. I was so far towards the beta extreme that even with all of my exposure to Misc and being burned a bunch IRL, I'm still a little too nice around girls (to the point where a few of them even pointed out how I need to be a little more jerkish).

Misc can be a little extreme at times, but so is the real world, just in the opposite direction. So in that sense, Misc serves as a bit of a counterbalance to what a lot of males are exposed to growing up.

That being said, I will also say that if someone is exposed to Misc and only Misc, they run the risk of developing a really distorted mindset. With either of the extreme mindsets (red pill or left wing feminist chit), you need real life experience to act as a sort of buffer. You need to be burned by women a lot to realize they're not some flawless, completely rational, angelic beings like feminist chit might lead you to believe. But you also need to interact with a lot of women to realize there's a lot to like about them and that a lot of them really aren't so bad. Real world experience keeps you grounded.

There are a lot of downsides that result from exposing yourself too much to any particular ideas while remaining closed off to others because you're stuck viewing things in black and white when reality is more of a shade of gray. But you can't really control what an individual chooses to expose himself to. If one is going to blame places like Misc for pushing certain individuals over the edge, you've got to also blame the culture we live in for lying to them their entire lives and creating a scenario where they're lonely and have no outlet for their masculinity and are often even indirectly encouraged to repress it.

I'm really glad I found the misc AFTER I had already convinced myself that I could lose my virginity and bang bishes on the reg. I did this by reading David Wygant, Neil Strauss, and studying body language books. I succeeded and avoided the FA life and the misery I would have encountered.

This place is like any other forum tbh. I doubt the number of lunatics is proportionally any higher than other forums.

That is the key point that miscers tend to gloss over. They think that no rational human could possibly misconstrue what they say as advocating violence. But you have to understand these psychos are highly deranged and they'll interpret things however they wish to suit their purpose. They have a very skewed view of things and the internet can help reinforce these notions and give them support. So being the maniacs they are they devise a plan that usually includes violence. They feel compelled to act on this no matter what and seek justification in any way possible. You and I may be joking or trolling but the wackos see it as solidifying their beliefs and ultimately their plans. Misc really should stop spreading so much negativity but we all know that ain't ever going to happen.
