That's certainly longer than any of mine have ever stood. You going to try and recoup the title any time soon? Hats off to this guy, that's an impressive lift.

I remember reading that cooperrun did 5:45, and fitman84 5:50 (those don't show up either on the 1st page, by the way). But it looks like the page keeps a few top times vs just the best.
Thanks.

So at the end of a workout today, I beat my deadhang PR and finally cracked 2 minutes, going for 2:05. What is everyone's PR there? Dead hang in this case would simply be hanging, arms fully extended, no pull ups being done. I think Cunanan has the highest on this thread, but I forget what his is.

So I was just wondering, at the bottom of the pull ups do you guys let your shoulders sag (entire arm and shoulder relaxed), or do you keep them tight?
There and back again twice, a deep red's tale.

What do you guys think?
I do not know how you all get it in under 6 minutes! I probably could have got a better time without my son being there.

What I remember is that I left on vacation for a month and then my time instantly went up to 9 minutes again. So a lot of it was just practicing ONLY that movement - so no other pull ups. I would do this every day, which was easier to do since I never went to complete exhaustion. Also having a timer app on my phone helped a lot. My timing was one max set up front (just below exhaustion) and then 3 at equal intervals, though it seems cooperrun and fitman84 do singles. That somehow didn't work for me.
That was very cute with your son on the bar! FWIW, my daughter was able to do 8 clean pull ups at 6 years old!

Was just wondering what you guys did cause I heard fully relaxing was bad for your shoulders, which is what I've been doing for the last 4 years
There and back again twice, a deep red's tale.

Extremist, I have a video here doing 37 reps, don't know how many you would consider valid. Anyway, until which day do we have time to post new personal bests?

I tried what you say in one of these workouts and got 50 seconds haha! my forearms were burning as hell.So at the end of a workout today, I beat my deadhang PR and finally cracked 2 minutes, going for 2:05. What is everyone's PR there? Dead hang in this case would simply be hanging, arms fully extended, no pull ups being done. I think Cunanan has the highest on this thread, but I forget what his is.

last night I did 2 sets of 1 rep with 90lbs of extra weight (with significant rest in between).... if i am not mistaken, thats about 155.2% my bodyweight. Yesterday morning I weighted myself in at 163lbs (don't hate, team forever bulking).
