****ting blood is serious please go to a doctor and get checked out. It could very well be something easily fixed. Don't let fear cost you your life. The longer you let it go the higher the chances you let a fairly minor problem turn into a much larger problem that can't be fixed.

This post is your first step to facing your fears, now take the next step and seek some help and not have to continue living in this fear.

That makes it even worse right? He'd rather live in pain and fear and possibly dead than the potential of bankruptcy? Let's get checked out first and worry about the finances later.

Granted I have great cheap healthcare through my company so my opinion is probably worth what you pay for it but, I think the propaganda regarding the US healthcare system is overblown. If he truly doesn't have the money to pay for insurance there are programs that will take care of that, Medicaid, Obamacare, etc. Or if nothing else just claim to be an iligegal they have no fears using our healthcare system and don't pay for anything.

Chitty. When I was younger I eould drink 5 cans of coke or root beer a day, eat candy and frozen meals almost exclusively. I was so unhealthy as a kid I remember my nails used to peel. Then when I started lifting at like 15 (a few years into the chitty blood), I stopped all that and ate right. Today I try to eat healthy, but with my job and my poor financial situation, I tend to eat what I can afford, which is water and ramen noodles.

ok, you just answered your own question. You wonder why your bowel movements are inconsistent but all you're eating is ramen and probably "gas station" food. All the symptoms you listed can be from a laundry list of other much more minor issues like ulcerative colitis to fixing your diet to simply a hemorrhoid.

I swear, second to the underground internet where sex trafficking is rampant, people "self diagnosing" themselves is one of the worst things to come from the invention of the internet. Let me guess you're going to webMD or forums with a bunch of geriatric folks and everything is cancer? If you're in your late teens to mid 20's the chances of it being colon cancer are borderline astronomically low. We have people like you coming in ALL the time into the ER where I work. They all think they have Cancer or MS or some other terminal illness and you know what? Out of the 7 yeras i've been working in this field Every. single. One. of them have been wrong and completly off base to what was really wrong with them. The vast majority of the time its either.

-an ulcer (too much drinking)
-an STD
-their chitty diet (you)
-a food allergy (potentially you)
-a hemorrhoid (potentially you)
-a parasitic infection (yes, more people between the ages of 18-30 come in with parasitic infections than cancer)

BTW a food allergy doesn't always entail hives or a swollen throat, sometimes food allergies flare up only once they're ingested. cut chit out of your diet to experiement)

The biggest culprits are;

dairy
nuts
MSG (ramen noodles)
nitrates (in processed meats like hot dogs and salami)

i'm not sure whats going on with your financial situation, but you need to get your chit together or cut your losses and just move back home. If you can literally only afford ramen to eat, I think its time you give up some minor luxuries you may have. Turn off your cable (if you have it) start riding the bus, or just start selling chit off. Your diet is what makes you move. if you cannot move and you're perpetually sick to the point you think you're dying, internet and TV packages should take a backseat for a while.

But I dunno. My flareups are really fukking severe when I get them. I'm pretty much just a decaying carcass while flaring. Too weak to do anything, sit on the toilet to diarrhea blood 30+ times a day, severe stomach pain that keeps me up all night, etc.
Jesus, how often are flare ups?

Unlikely to be cancer due to the length of time-almost certainly Crohn's or UC. Why did you not take it seriously six years ago?

Go see a doctor.

Only reason why you should be chitting blood is because you had Chipotle or Taco Bell, or if someone relapsed on you and bottomed out.

So I did have Chipotle the most recent time I had blood, but it happens when I eat regular chit too. Now I'm noticing I have excessive gas and lower center-right abdominal pain.

This guy got colon cancer at 28.

celiacs disease could also be a possible reason why that's happening to you. i suffer it myself so i will elaborate a bit

celiacs (the real, legitimate, science-backed reason why some people can NOT eat gluten) is an autoimmune disease, that means that your body reacts to the presence of gluten in a way that it attacks itself, essentially destroying it's own, healthy cells.

it was never my case, but a person who suffers from celiacs and is not under treatment might have visible blood in his feces.

symptoms i suffered: constant, daily stomach aches for over 7 years, every single day of my life with diarrhea, heavy weight loss (140 lbs, 6'1, 19 years old) (the term weight loss in my case is incorrect because i was always skinny, it's not that i lost the weight, i just never gained it)

other common symptoms: constipation, headaches, skin rashes and colon cancer is a very possible outcome of an untreated celiac disease.

celiacs is a VERY easy disease to deal with and its only treatment is a gluten free diet. getting used to it is tricky and it's hard to overcome denial, but it's very easy once you to stay motivated once your symptoms are gone.

being diagnosed was to be honest life changing for me. i seriously went from daily stomach pain and liquid diarrhea to being healthy. the pain felt like an electric shock directly to my colon and the diarrhea gave me cold sweats and made me feel really weak every single time. i don't even want to imagine the amount of damage i must have caused to my colon during all those years. i'm now 6+ years "clean" and a healthy 188 lbs at 6'1.

good luck my friend

Diagnosis is easy, but trying to eat a Gluten Free diet is very difficult, especially if you have IBS & are intolerant to many things.

eating gluten free is very easy. you're bringing up a whole different issue; being intolerant to many things (including wheat) =/= celiacs

MD here. Get it checked out by a doctor. Your constellation of symptoms sounds like Inflammatory Bowel Disease such as ulcerative colitis or Crohn's, but the symptoms can be similar to cancer. Cancer is less likely in your age group but people with IBD are at higher risk if they have colon involvement. You may also be anemic given that you feel tired.

There's a lot of incorrect info ITT as well. Take it with a grain of salt.

Thank you, doctor. A few questions if you have the time. Have you ever seen colon cancer in a young 20 year old? If so, based on my symptoms and how long I've had them, do you think I'm going to die? Also, where should I go if I have no insurance. I went to the emergency room for an unrelated seemingly minor issue a few months ago and got hit with a $2,000 bill for basically nothing. If I'm not ill, it is definitely not worth financial ruin.

Aldo should I request a CT scan or do we have to jump straight to shoving a camera up my ass?

go for colonoscopy. virtual colonoscpy ie via ct scan will eventually lead to optical colonoscopy anyway.

How are you not even on Obamacare?

Stop reading nightmare stories, that chit will destroy you. Spend that energy looking into healthcare options.
I tried that BS. They want me to pay $120+/mo for single coverage. I can't afford it. On paper I make too much to qualify for free or cheap healthcare but with bills and working on an inconsistent commission, I don't actually see what the government says I do. It sucks.
