Homework and practice clothes packed night before. Beat them if they don't comply.

Wake them up with a bucket of freezing water. Beat them if they don't comply.

Gentlemen: Get up earlier. I get up around 4:30-5:00 most days for these reasons. I don't start work till about 9 am, sometimes that's from home. So on most days I have a solid 3 hours of time for myself for **** like working out, meal prep, etc...then an hour to shower and get ready for work. Sleep in on the weekends if you need more sleep. Or sleep in on wenesdays but get up early mon, tue, thur, fri...whatever, just make time.

That works for like a night or two.

Seriously we are so busy that when we get home at night, it's cook dinner. Then it's clean dishes, check their grades, make them do homework, help them study, get showers, do laundry, etc. By the time the wife and I get to stop and relax, it's 10PM and we are ready for bed. And that is just on nights that the boys don't have a baseball, football, or basketball game or practice.

Yeah, I know we put ourselves in this craziness. But that's life with kids.

I started waking up last week at 5:30. Just need to take that extra 30 minutes and get out of bed.

There ya go, step in the right direction lol. The first month is rough, but you get used to it. Been doing it since March and now I wake up without an alarm around 4:30 unless I am sick or legit wore out from the previous day. I tried sleeping in the other day and got stir crazy around 6:30 lol.

I wish I could do that - there is very little that can get me out of bed in the AM. I've tried to be an early riser, it would make my life so much easier

doesn't matter what time I go to bed either - I always thought that as I got older it would be easier to get up in the AM. So far that's not the case

I never was either. You just have to commit and do it. Do you have a boyfriend that sleeps over? Put your alarm clock in a different room, then its a race to get out of bed when it goes off to keep from pissing them off/waking them up.

Its not easy, but nothing worthwhile is easy.

It should be fine. I've gone several times where I've eaten something on Monday the 8th that I've cooked on Sunday the 1st. I usually cook all of my food in bulk on Sunday and pack meals through at least Friday. Weekends are usually a little more up in the air.

For eating at work, I take:
- 3 eggs scrambled with a couple ounces of meat and an English muffin or bagel
- cup of rice with 10 oz chicken
- cup of rice with ground beef

Have protein shake when I get home from gym. (with milk. don't know what kind of fukking animal mixes them with water.)

then another cup of rice and chicken meal at night.

Pack all of that up (minus the shakes) in sandwich bags x 5 and then just grab what I need on my way out every morning.

Hmmm, I guess when you put it that way. lol.

I don't know. It seems wrong to feel like anything extra is insulting, but at the same time I think I'd rather not get anything than get excited that I've just been handed a bonus check and then find out it's for barely more than I would have made working an extra hour that week.

I haven't used one, so I can't comment on how well they work. But I feel like you should know that these exist:

I usually eat leftovers when I'm home, if I'm on a work trip then I prep the night before, or sometimes I'll do a week's worth on Sunday. I almost never eat out for lunch though.

I have to get up early too. Most guys I work with get up about 20-30 minutes before they leave for work. I get up 60-75 minutes before I leave. I do not do well at getting things done in a hurry in the morning. I need lots of time to be slow and wake up, make something to eat, get my lunch packed up, etc.

Easiest food prep I do . . . every 4 days or so (earlier if I eat it all) I go to Costco/Sam's and buy 2 rotisserie chickens. I break them down into small, munchable sized bites and put them into containers in the fridge. Then I just grab some to eat whenever. Can eat it cold/plain, dip it into sauce of some kind (we always have sauce from Wendy's or Chick-Fil-A around), heat it up, make an easy stir fry, make a tafwrap, etc. <$10 and works great.

From March to July I worked 60 miles from home and started at 8 am. Left for work around 6:45, same thing. Wake up at 4:30, pound it out, shower, eat, leave. Not sure about everyone in here, but I lift 3x a week, leaving 4 mornings for other chit that needs to get done.

RE: Gym'm air'day. Its a routine, even if you don't lift everyday getting up early keeps the routine going. I almost never have issues with time anymore. When I am done at work, its family time instead of gym time or homework or other important details of life that are often prioritized over family.

RE: if its been approved, I don't know...let me find out. Guy sent that to me last night out of the blue after discussing those ar15 balls.

Costco sells their rotisserie chickens already picked apart into a nice bag btw.

Yeah . . . I've gotten that a couple times, but I do a better job of getting the fat and "boingies" stripped out than they do. And I think it's less expensive my way in the end.
Another good idea.

You guys have given me some good ideas. Guess I need to start planning out my food for the week.

I haven't used one, so I can't comment on how well they work. But I feel like you should know that these exist:

Put some vinegar in the water when you boil the eggs. Then cool them off with ice water right away.

was more talking to the other gusy who were chastising you for having that schedule by your own choice, p much saying to them tht if gym doesnt matter to them not to do it, i respect anyone who is in and out of the gym before work, thts when the do'ers get in there. its quite, cuse no ones chatty, they all have places to be afterwards. and as you mentioned above, the evening are open for other activities (for me, that means school, football season, and wifey and dog time. i also work a pretty eratic work schedule, starts at 7 daily but i leave between 4-6pm depending on how busy our shop is, so for soemone s schedule driven as i am, it frustrates me having to move stuff around (after work stuff like the gym) when i dont have a constant leave time.

Interesting. I may look into this.
i make a whole chicken for dinner every night (wifey or i will amke it) takes about 5 misn to prep an hour and 20 to cook, i slice potatoes up and put them in the casserole dish with the chicken, fill it about 1/2" with water, season with whatever i want. I eat both legs, both thighs, and both wings for dinner, wifey eats 1 breast. I put the other breast in a tupperware container with some salad or steamed veggies, and bring that to work. post gym (which is essentially breakfast) is 2 scoops whey and 1 scoop of carbolyze or anyother carb source you want. if im hungry through out the day ill have cottage cheese (the lowfat with pineapple thats already packaged like that, yes i eat a tub at a time cause you dont get to 220 lbs eating like a child). super easy man, the hardest part is the chicken prep but i like to have fresh cooked food for dinner anyways and i dont mind eating the same thing everyday.

I do the following for meal prep:

Cook on Sundays for food on Monday-Thursday.
Cook on Thursday for Friday-Sunday.

Breakfast is made daily. On days I have a little more time, breakfast is eggs, toast, yogurt, and some kind of breakfast meat. If I don't have time I'll have Kashi cereal (would do oatmeal but its disgusting), a protein bar, maybe some fruit or some cheese. Since breakfast is made daily, I only have to meal prep for 2 meals per day. On Sunday I cook enough of a meat (usually turkey or chicken) for 8 meals. Usually use frozen broccoli/veggies and throw 8 servings into some Tupperware. Cook up 8 tortilla wraps (2 per lunch for the 4 days). Cook up 4 servings of rice (for the 4 dinners). With the wraps I usually add some romaine lettuce, spinach, tomato, onion...whatever. With the rice dinner I usually have some other veggies. Cooking on Thursday I typically do the same thing, but for 3 days worth. Aside from breakfast, lunch and dinner I usually will have an apple and some peanut butter or one of the Costco protein bars for a snack between breakfast and lunch or between lunch and dinner. Post-workout I drink a Gatorade, have a protein shake, then I have dinner later. Cup of cottage cheese before bed (sometimes with salsa, because it tastes incredible).
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.
