You guys are motivating me to wake up an hour earlier everyday, instead of working out in the evenings. I don't know if I should be grateful or angry.

Except for the actual getting up part . . . but then everything else is GOAT. Once you are used to it, it's hard to beat.

Serious question guys, anyone ever worry about accidentally shooting or any sort of accidents?

Just watched Saving private Ryan again to compare it to Hacksaw Ridge. Hacksaw Ridge is a great movie, but Saving Private Ryan is damn near perfect and is at the top of the pyramid of war movies. I do think Hacksaw Ridge > Tears of the Sun, We Were Soldiers, and about = to Black Hawk Down

I don't mean preventing an incident, if that's what you mean. I'm talking about the first time you held a loaded gun, weren't any of you worried you'd somehow still pull the trigger by accident, it's a mental thing obviously. I haven't had the chance to hold one until about this age, so I guess that could play into the mentality.

I see, a few months ago, my friend had his conceal just sitting in-between us in his truck. I asked if I could see it and when he was handing it to me, I immediately asked him to take it back and asked him to unload it and everything. Idk why, I was just really worried I guess.
lol I can't believe I'm actually talking about this, but it happened.

It's just a matter of getting used to the controls and understanding how it works. When you understand how it operates and you follow the 4 safety rules, it's nearly impossible for anything to accidentally happen. It's once you start playing around or getting complacent that negligence can happen.

I would be worried if someone who wasn't familiar with guns didn't react like you did if I randomly handed them one. That would show a dangerous lack of understanding/respect for the power of a firearm.

I think Band of Brothers and The Pacific are better then SPR, being 10 hours long allows them to go much deeper with character/plot development. I just finished up the Pacific after not having watched it for years, its a really powerful series.

The safety rules overlap for a reason. That reason is so that when you always go out of your way to follow every one of them at all times, even if you mess up as an imperfect being and inadvertently or inattentively violate a rule, nothing catastrophic will happen because the rules overlap.
If you get complacent or careless because you know the rules overlap, that is when you get one slip-up or mistake or mr murphy away from serious consequences.

Watch for bullet setback if you continually chamber the same round.

Also, as a general rule, it is common practice not to hand a loaded handgun to anybody, anyway. They can load it themselves if need be. Some people extend that to all firearms. Personally I don't think I ever hand a loaded gun to anybody except a couple I trust and then really only when on a live/hot firing line.

Had a negligent discharge once. Took a few friends shooting. At the end of the day, I was laying my firearms on the table for safety check before bagging them. Got to talking, and one of my friends dropped the mag out of a firearm he was shooting, and laid it on the table without me noticing.
Got done talking, and before I bag them, I point the firearm downrange, and drop the hammer. Went to the last firearm my friend put down, pointed it down range casually, and pulled the trigger. *BANG*. He left a round in the chamber. Scared the crap out of me because I wasn't expecting it, and almost dropped the firearm.
Took a minute to process what happened, and realized i didn't safety check it. Friend apologized profusely, but I was cool. Round went safely downrange and into the dirt.
Just goes to show, follow all the rules, and if something does happen, it doesn't kill someone.
I'm not blessed with riches, but I am rich with blessings.
Thank you, LORD, my God.

Watch for bullet setback if you continually chamber the same round.

When you always keep one in there you know, and it will always be treated as such.
just my opinion
