Aruba switches advertised one thing, aquired switches because of this one thing...got switches in and start testing configs....the one thing does not exist.

Call them out on twitter.



I received the "pre release" ArubaOS today that contains the one thing I needed. Not to shabby.

I have some Aruba Access Points. They work great in the office. But the one I have in the shop is always giving me problems. Or maybe it's the potatoes using it. IDunno. I just try to ignore them.

No changes had been made to the filter or network but at 4:30 it just decided to chit out on us.

Speaking of IT headaches I'm working on probably a year-long task of rewiring our main switch rack in the server room. This thing had no cable management or organization when I first started and the whole thing looked like a wall of of blue patch cables that had about twice as much slack as they needed. Got approval for a few cable trays and cleaned up the excess wiring a little bit last year but it still looked like massive chit. I got a break through last year when they approved a new UPS for the rack because the other one was ancient and every time the power blinked the core switches went down. Once I got that fixed I've been able to buy all the cable management equipment I originally asked for. I got the first of five switches moved and new patch panels/cables installed this morning. The next one up is our core switch, it's going to take me a while to get moving that one planned.

Going through the exact same thing. When we first moved in all the cabling was nice and neat. But through the years, I kind of made a mess of it. So now I am installing switches at the top of my two racks and then wiring those switches to the rack with the patch panels and other switches. Should clean my mess up nicely.

Just picked up the vortex spitfire 1x for $199 at cabelas. Apparently it's discontinued in favor of the new spitfire AR model. I've read in numerous places that people seem to like the original 1x a little better, so, figured I'd get one while I can.

The Pacific was not as good as BoB, I think they left a lot on the table in context to production. It just felt like the gore and involvement in the battles could have been done better.

I think your service is giving you rose colored glasses on Generation Kill, though. BoB > Pacific > Gen Kill

The Pacific was too try hard, felt like they were trying to one up Band of Brothers which you simply can't do.

I may have to rewatch The Pacific, it's been a while since I last saw it but from what I remember I liked GK better, even though that unit was so fuked up lol.

Hacksaw was very refreshing though, after the last few war movies that came out were absolute chit.

agreed -- hacksaw ridge was remarkably better than a lot of recent entries. I'm looking forward to Dunkirk, but it's also PG13...
