Every modern hollywood movie gets hyped up and always turns out to be utter drivel. Are any of the star wars movies good? I don't even rate the original 3. That Kylo Ren character was probably the nadir of the series; skinny emo crybaby who gets beaten up by a girl - star wars 2016.

The last one sucked. Great spesial effects but the story sucked. The bad guy was a huge beta aswell that got beat by a girl

I shut off "The force awakens" the other night when I saw the strong comparison between the bad guys and the Germans in WW2. Fuk that chit. Hur dur evil white people being evil all the time.

The Empire Strikes Back is the only SW movie that I think is seriously good. The prequel trilogy (episodes 1-3) is a CGI plagued mess with laughably bad acting, and The Force Awakens is just a pale imitation of ANH with some new actors and a bunch of Social Justice Propaganda thrown in.

From the clips I have watched, Rogue One looks pretty cringey and is obviously another "girl power" movie just like TFA. I wont be paying to see it.

I enjoyed this more than TFA. Up there with the original trilogy. I don't really fuk with the comics and books though so can't relate to those changes

Didn't think it was SJW or whatever at all, if anything the other way around guys were 90% of the lead roles.

It was a very average movie though, plot was incredibly weak, nothing that important is really happening, the main climax is something which doesn't even happen in the movie. All the main characters are just thrown in there, they take a long time to do very little then they all die and no one actually cares at all. Just like 7 it plays on the nostalgia so a lot of old school fans will blinded and not see how boring it was.

Given nothing new happens at all is really what makes it suffer so much, I think there is only so much you can just do the same thing before people notice.

Honestly would give it a 3/10, haven't been this let down by a movie so much since spectre was so average.

Actually FA was way better, give that a 6/10

None of the Starwars movies can really break an 8 unless they do something different.

He talks about those T13s getting decomissioned. In Ep 4 when Ben Kenobi is sneaking past stormtroopers they say 'hey did you hear about those new T14s coming in?'

Might have the numbers wrong but pretty sure that's what it's referencing.

Saw it, liked it.

the first 40 mins were hard to follow...there was a new planet every five minutes, and the editing seemed unsure of itself. It felt very amateur.

However, once things got rolling, it turned into a mildly good war movie with the star wars universe to lean on.

What I didnt like:

1.Forrest Whitikers (sp?) character.....the voice was weird, his last lines were so so basic, and I just couldnt connect to him in any way. whatever, I guess it doesnt really matter.

2. The continued piss poor accuracy of stormtrooper/elite troopers. With this movie, i had hoped that it would show how dangerous all aspects of the Empire were. It would make the accomplishments of the rebels during the rest of the series that much more incredible. But no, rebels can shoot perfectly, while trained soldiers of the most able fighting force in the galaxy couldnt hit anyone except in the third act when it was all doom and gloom for the rebels story wise.

3. The way the planet shield went down.....apparently I am supposed to believe that a single teeny tiny "hammerhead" ship ( with a bridge on the very part being rammed ) could forcibly alter the course of a star destroyer immensely larger than itself SO MUCH that that destroyer cuts through the one next to it. I laughed. There were so many other great ideas for the shield to go down, but they went with that one....ayeee

4. the spanish guy literally saving the girl at the last min. I was so so unhappy with this for two reasons. 1. it made any credibility the movie might have had at a "dark tone" null and void, and 2. It seemed like such a bandaid/script patch that only made me wonder why they went with the worst possible cliche of all cliches.

5.The droid. I get it, C-3PO isnt in the movie (long). Are all droids supposed to be witty, sassy, 1 line machines. Would have liked it better if the droid didnt say a single thing but yes or no. They could have riffed off the neutral bluntness that way, which also would have been more believeable since it was an imperial security droid, not a amy schmer protection droid.

6. AT ATs getting cucked so easily. IF they could get manhandled by troops/starfighters why they hell would they even exist? They are slow as ****. If it was made so that the armor was unpierceable, it would have made the battle more grim, and make the audience feel just how hard it is to win against the empire. or not.

7. The blind guy. I get it, hes a force ninja. But his mantra made me hate him, as did his inability to play to the tone of the scene was so deafening, i not only disliked him, but it made me realize the director sucked balls. There is so much he could have stood for, or infered, but instead we see the same old fight choreography. I yawned, serious.

8. the very random, stupid Rouge one Title shot. If you blinked, you missed it. made the movie seem very"unimportant.

What I liked

1. The complete lack of leftist/girl powerness. It wasnt there peeps. I voted for Trump. I generally dislike SJWs. None of the movie referenced any part of todays cultural issues.

2. The evil guy in the white clothes. I thought his acting was top notch considering the lines he had. Maybe a few lines were over the top, but it was nowhere near the total crap that was general Hux in TFA.

3. Vader in any scene. Sure, Mr. Jone's voice acting wasnt particularly strong (he sounded like an 80 something year old), but vader still commanded chit like he did in ANH. The tube with the rebal guards was serious, and it made completely forget that behind the mask was a man that used to have hayden christiansons stupid plastic face and nokia style monotone line delivery.

4. I hate cgi, but they nailed tarkin and leia. Would have been way better with way less scene time for both though. Both were in the valley for me.

5. The death star and its city destroying scenes. was cool.

6. When the x wing hit the shield and got scattered. was cool.

7. the fact that the spanish dude killed someone in cold blood. the move needed more of this, especially stromtroopers killing rebels and not just unarmed citizens.

8. The fact that the planet jedha was the location of middle earth due to the ruins of massive jedi/kings as seen in the fellowship of the ring

9. Jyn erso didnt completely suck. She was way to good with a gun to be realistic, but she was all like "yay girlpower" or anything.
