I especially like the posters who toss in sciency words and numbers they found somewhere to make it sound like they are fukkin' doctor protein.

Surely whey is the one legitimate "supplement." It's just protein with a complete amino acid profile. Sure it doesn't benefit you anymore than egg whites/chicken breast, but it's convenient and relatively cheap. I don't really even consider it a "supplement," but rather just a grocery item...
With all the BS crap out there produced by supplement companies, complete with flimsy/falsified "studies," people choose whey... Lmao.
Edit: Lol'd at "chemical substitute" for protein.

If you want to bitch about the supplement industry, why not PWO's, BCAA's, or any of the other retarded crap supplement companies sell?
I'm also confused why so many people say it's "easy" to get all the protein you need. I guess with unlimited time and budget, but for most people with jobs, taking whey is a quick way to make sure you can hit your macro targets.

The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I agree at 160 I shoot for 100-120 grams. Super high protein diets aren't particularly good for you. If I was dat dering it up I would probably shoot for 160 or more though because I would assume I would be rebuilding a lot more but that would be pure speculation on my part.

Whey is a waste of money. The only people who will tell you to take it are those selling it or those getting paid to pretend they take it
I know a few guys with pro cards and they are sponsored by big companies (BPI, Animal) and they legit don't take any supplements other than pre workouts and they get them for free lol

I'm going to run a study where I take two identical twins and put them on the same routine, but one twin would be eating nothing but whey for protein and the other twin would be eating whole food for protein, and see what they look like after a year or two.

people saying its not that hard to get your protein in, obviously have never had to count macros.
That said, whey should only be used as a supplement. Real food should be priority. I get a scoop or two a day when I need it. But that's about it.
