Can you explain to me how the elemental make up of rocks can tell me what the temperature was on March 13th in the year 100? LMAO

The thing about "climate change" is the amount of hypocrisy that goes into it from those who push it. If you want to believe that it is all done by man then feel free to be 1 less existing man contributing to it. Either off yourself or get rid of any fossil fuel use(cars, heat, or plastic). Stop living in a home made of wood or using any other wood products(because cutting down trees is bad for the environment). Only sources of fuel can be manpower, solar power, or wind power(using animals is cruel). Only sources of food you are allowed to eat are plants(highly controversial though, because studies have shown plants too have feelings).

Also, like others have said, there is an incredible amount of bias in "Academia" these days. If there isn't money to study something then it doesn't get studied so if you funnel a bunch of money into proving something there is always a way to show statistically that it exists or doesn't exist. Not saying that is the case for climate stuff. Just saying that is how it goes.

I have no problem with limiting pollution, recycling, or saving the rainforests, but don't tell to do it in the name of climate change.

it's a very simple process, carbon dioxide and methane trap infrared light in the atmosphere. co2 and methane are both byproducts of industrial processes, and things like automotive emissions etc.

see you can't provide any evidence to refute the claims such as asingle peer reviewed journal, so you're reduced to throwing out non sequitrs in a vain attempt to attack me

i didn't think the misc could be this dumb. ALL IT TAKES IS ONE ****ING GOOGLE SEARCH TO SEE THIS IS REAL BUT YOURE TO FUKING STUPID TO UNDERSTAND THIS CHIT IS REAL BECAUSE YOU LIVE IN A ****ING BUBBLE. HERE IS YOUR EVIDENCE AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE

And read this to understand how scientists measure climate change but your tiny brain probably couldn't understand it anyways so i doubt you'd even try. And before you give me a come-back, please provide evidence rather than "herp derp but it was cold yesterday so how can there be global warming, herp derp"

Like OP, I try to keep an open mind to any information (whilst leaning on the 97% consensus side)

but I will say there were some interesting points brought up and well articulated by posters like nzgs and a few others.

With this logic why do youopposethe possibility so much though? Meaning you don't understand the data either - so if the 97% of scientists who DO understand it, why not go with pascals wager on this?

For anyone who drinks the right wing climate change denier kool-aid. Do something for me, book a trip to Beijing and stay there for one week.... then come back and tell man made pollution HAS no effect on the environment. When you're coughing up your lungs you'll be thanking gawd for the EPA and regulations to keep the air and environment clean. 100% guarantee it.

The people who question man made climate change don't question the science of the greenhouse effect. They question the role it plays on the earth's climate.

Loaded topic. Everyone believes in climate change. It's whether man has a major influence is the question.

Human CO2 emissions are a tiny percentage of what the earth does naturally in the Oceans, Volcanos, etc.

Throw in the effects of the sun and we amount to nothing.

If i remember correctly the earth was drastically hotter during the Triassic and early periods.

A localized effect like smog =/= world-wide temperature altering climate change.

You should probably Google the word "fact". If man-made climate change were a "fact" we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Climate doesn't change daily, temperature does.

Climate change is real. Yes climate changes in a cyclical fashion over geological time. The issue lies in the fact that it hasn't changed this fast in history and the cause is anthropomorphic.

Any "scientist" that knows anything about statistical design of experiments understands there is no way that IF the planet is warming, it can be determined that it is from carbon vs other factors such as solar activity.

Also, old temperature data was taken using inferior measurement devices compared to current methods.

Way too much noise to be making billion to trillion dollar decisions.

If all of the oil and natural gas in the US was produced in NY and CA rather than the Balkans, OK, and TX, "climate change" would not exist.

That's an incorrect assumption. People still discuss evolution, and that's 100% fact. Only ignorant retards with no understanding of scientific consensus think man-made climate change isn't real. The republicans have done a good job of herding the sheep into the pen on this one.
