Which of course is only because Obama did not want gun control laws to hit his desk and there is no way he would have signed them if they did

In effect, sort of. Congress opposition prevented him from passing any real anti-2A laws. The gun legislation he actually did manage to pass was pro-2A in both cases (guns in national parks, and checked baggage). If he'd had strong support from Congress to pass gun control laws, he definitely would have.

Sunset of the AWB was HUGE. A huge chunk of the gun industry's growth boils down to the AWB and companies like Magpul wouldn't have been able to get off the ground with that in place.

If Congress had passed a new AWB bill, Obama would have signed it.
Bush said he would have done the same for the expiring AWB.

Based on that, I think Obama and Bush are similar. Neither were a friend of the 2A.

I think Farles contends that Bush influenced Congress to not move any gun control bills.
If that's true, then I agree Bush and Obama have little in common on the 2A.
But, I can't say if that's true because I don't know.

If there's a sauce for that contention, I'm curious to see it.

As for Obama's many attempts to move public opinion against guns, I agree he was much worse than Bush. I don't recall Bush ever doing anything like that.

But both favored an AWB.

Bush was a typical RINO who didn't care about national debt, the 2A, or limited government. The only conservative aspect of his administrations was moral conservatism (from an evangelical background). I admire that, but to me it doesn't outweigh his deficiencies.

That's news to me! You all take advantage of that? Per usual, protestors often alert us to a good thing we may not known of. I don't recall seeing any discounts shipping FedEx. Maybe I didn't look hard enough. I would say, use FedX when ever possible to support their gun friendly policy there if true.

Gun Reform Advocates Call on Fedex To End Discounts to NRA Members

Gun violence prevention advocates, victims of gun violence, and their relatives in Orlando and other cities say FedEx is helping the National Rifle Association grow its membership. A handful of organizers protested Wednesday afternoon outside a FedEx downtown.

The protest was one of several taking place nationwide at the height of the holiday season when millions of customers are using the global shipping company to send gifts to loved ones.

Gun reform advocates are calling on FedEx to leave the National Rifle Association’s Business Alliance. Through the program, NRA members receive discounts from businesses such as FedEx.

At a press conference, newly-elected member of the Florida House of Representatives Carlos Guillermo Smith called FedEx a “corporate enabler,” adding that its discounts allow the NRA to attract more members and strengthen its lobby for the rights of gun owners.

He is urging customers to boycott the company.
