Ahhh he undoubtedly is a dick I'm sure and unpleasant to be around IRL, but lol at defending the girl for any reason in this scenario, unless you are a cuck obviously. The audacity to tell someone you don't like their attitude when they make a completely reasonable request concerning something that you might rely on for your well being is insane.

ITT people don't know what service dogs do. the guy clearly has problems and requires the dog to be 100% attentive. some people need service dogs for ptsd or even seizures. petting, talking or in any way disturbing the dog's attention would result in serious situations if something did arise. he was 100% in the right. if i were next to him i would have blocked her off and told her to fukk off.

He's probably sick of being asked to pet the dog every 5 feet even though it has a vest which clearly says not to. Imagine you were in his place, and every time you left the house there are people staring at you and asking to pet constantly. Fine at first but after a while you would get sick of it.

Pretty sure he is sick of people approaching his dog plus the 'don't touch' sign his dog's wearing
He was able to tell her not to do anything without being too pissed off. She continued and unsurprisingly he went off

What would you do in his place? He gave her a polite response at first, then she responded with "I don't like your attitude," she was obviously looking for a conflict at that point. She wasn't going to go away unless he let her pet

Oh I def. agree /see your point. She should have walked away, but she got butt hurt since he wasn't overly polite/cheerful with the way he asked her.

Yeah he probably was a dick, but I know I would be one too if I was in a wheelchair and had a service dog which has a sign that says "don't pet" yet I kept getting asked.

Or maybe I would be nice if they asked once just because maybe they didn't read the vest or they don't know what a service dog is. But after that I'd be pretty angry. I'd say its worse than someone cutting in line as far as rudeness goes. You are basically saying "I don't care about you or your illness or the effect that distracting the dog has, but it looks cute so I want to pet it"

also not sure why so many miscers are failing to realize that service dogs can be trained for more than just blindness. There's a reason why they're called service dogs now, and not seeing-eye dogs. They can be trained to help with laundry, household chores, detecting seizures, PTSD, and just the normal daily routine

he wasn't exactly ''polite'' in his response. He went passive-aggressive...you could tell he enjoyed telling her to back off.
She was just genuinely happy to see a dog, and he made no effort to level with her mood by being anal about his dog.

I feel like there's a gender reversal here with regards to men asking women out. She asked to pet, and he crudely said no. He doesn't owe her anything else. Just like when a man asks a woman out, she doesn't owe him a date or even anything other than just a "no" even though that could be considered rude/crude. You don't get to harass a woman for saying "no"

Maybe, but once she stared at him and said "I don't like your attitude" I think she was out for blood. I don't think there's anything he could have done besides letting her pet the dog that would have de-escalated the situation. The fact that she chased him afterwards shows she was insane.

He probably gets asked to pet the dog numerous times every time he leaves the house. After a while you just don't have time for that.

They both sound crazy, but tbh you can't see the guy's face and body language, which plays a lot in how you say things. When he says, "Thank you", he sounds snobby like he's saying, "shew off", and then his immediate response to her not liking that is "fuk you, die bitch". Dude sounds like a dick.

True, but he said that after she said she didn't like his attitude. He fought fire with fire. He definitely escalated it, but I don't think there was going to be a good outcome regardless of how he acted unless he just let her pet the dog
