The question is what are you going to do about it?
What is your strategy?

Student debt???...nobody forced you or anyone to sign for a loan
Tuition has increased at double the rate of inflation and (much like our health care system) has almost completely removed the idea of paying out of pocket for higher education. That is **cking crazy...

Source: College Board, Annual Survey of Colleges; NCES, IPEDS data.
Why is the price of education increasing despite the quality of education going nowhere? It's because school administrations and loan agencies are milking the children of America and they're getting away with it. Student loans have become the most uncompetitive, oppressive, and predatory debt in this country's history.
Federal legislation championed by chit organizations like Sallie Mae have birthed personal fortunes while lobbying for legislation that took away consumer protections allowing them to collect inflated debt.
There's also a ripple effect... Small businesses create the majority of jobs in this country and you have a generation that is put in a chit position for entrepreneurship. It will also effect the housing market.
Glad I got a full-ride scholarship... but I feel really bad for some people.

It seems you have an idea of what you want. So the main thing you need now is a strategy that will make your idea concrete.
This may take some deeper soul searching because the effort required may be greater than the reward.

I think a big part of it is that millennials are rejecting a lot of the boomer values and way of life, not least because in many areas it simply doesn't exit now because the world has changed.
Many are calling them the most privileged generation in history but they love to make out how hard it was 'in their day'. They seem to see cheaper consumer electronics as life on easy mode or something.

I hire Baby Boomers, Gen-Xers and Millennials and can safely say that in my experience they all can be outstanding or ****heads. I have a 26 year old at my company running the most profitable silo (VoIP) and is one of the hardest workers in my company. She also happens to be a woman in an all male industry so my views have changed significantly since hiring her.

Here are my 2 cents:
If you're fcking around on the Misc when you should be using the Internet to job search/sending out resumes, then don't blame anyone else for your laziness. Lol....

It's not just the boomers OP.
Yes times were easier when they were young compared to the battle today but also we have a generation of libtard snowflakes that won't work, would rather start anti trump rallies who can't figure out which gender they are.
Honestly I cannot believe that this transgender thing is coming to fruition. It blows my mind. I told a friend a couple weeks ago I'd bet $10k today that within 10 years there will be a debate about incest rights and sex with animals etc... first it was gay rights, now it's transgender rights, what's next?

There's advantages and disadvantages to growing up in any particular generation. I would argue that in todays digital age, global markets, and worldwide reaching sources of media (including social media) that there is incredible opportunity for entrepreneurs and creative minds. The average person may not be able to go and get some menial job and live high on the hog, but a real go getter can become very rich. We have people who literally make hundreds of thousands of dollars (maybe more) and they're just a spokesperson on Instagram, or they have a YouTube channel. Baby boomers couldn't do that.
See the opportunity you have, or see the opportunity that no longer exists. One of these ways of thinking will lead to success and the other will lead to being stereotyped as a whiney millennial. You get to choose.

Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.
Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

BRB Boomer:
- Brb, walk onto construction job and get job no safety certifications or equipment needed
- Brb, get into ivy league with B's
- Brb, pay tuition with summer job
- Brb, married at 18-20, kids by 21-22
- Brb, expecting millennials to replicate it all and that the world works the same as it did way back.

I think today's generation must use their brains more to get ahead where in the past you could get a head on pure physical/menial labor.
Union Strong. Workers are stronger together.
The GOP is a criminal organization who despises the middle class and working poor. Name one policy they have pushed for that increased worker pay, union strength, or worker influence in a corporation.
