I doubt I will change my mind.
In the past, it was just a lack of desire to get married/start a family. Now that has grown into a positive desire to not do it.

So being career oriented and single at 35 is a turn off and makes you not want to go home and smash after meeting her in a cab.
but if she was a family oriented person, you would have?

She is a specialized doctor at a premier academic medical institution.
She finished her training in her early/mid 30's.
She is extremely attractive and looks 5 or so years younger than she is.
She has almost given up on the idea of finding a mate, and in the next couple years will just get artificial insemination - she has all the resources to raise a child single.
Game, set, match boys, but she's obviously an outlier.

It often surprises me when I hear of women being content with never having children, marriage or at least a LTR. But everyone's different and there's nothing wrong with that at all. She may be happy with it or she could just be pretending to be. I know of a woman who's in her 50s and never married or had kids. This was her choice though; she's been engaged, had LTR's but broke them off because they didn't work for her. She's told me she is very picky though, so I'm guessing that could play a large part. She's pretty content with her life though it seems.

I guarantee you that will happen in places like China and it's not going to be pretty at all with extreme overpopulation and a dramatic decrease in jobs.Ye, it's possible she was an outlier, but like I said she said she was in the same situation as a bunch of her friends. This scenario is getting more and more common.

No smash no care
It is better to die on your feet, than to live a lifetime on your knees
a coward dies a thousand deaths, a soldier dies but one.
The odds are great
But my spirit is strong,
My faith unbreakable,
My blood is pure.
I SHALL ENDURE!
I WILL ENDURE!
the strength of a gesture, a thought with no voice

But there is one key risk factor for Down syndrome: maternal age. A 25-year-old woman has a 1 in 1,200 chance of having a baby with Down syndrome; by 35, the risk has increased to 1 in 350; by age 40, to 1 in 100; and by 49, it's 1 in 10
