That's probably because she feels embarrassed for setting you both up and it not going as planned

I think it's different strokes for everyone. I guess as a whole you could say females take it harder because in general men do the chasing and women *tend* to have more options because they're more likely to be approached than vice versa. And also, not a lot of females do the chasing so there's not much experience/practice for whatever outcome. Also the fact we're more emotional creatures than men are. But then I've been rejected in the past and I didn't kick up a fuss, I just left it (stung like fuk though lmao) and I've known men to go psycho having been knocked back

She's a moron seriously; she knew damn well that her friend was a 4/10. It's one thing to pawn off to her ugly friend, it's another to get upset when he rejects her.

Very few people take rejection well. Women or men.

Holy phuck there's websites dedicated to the nauseating chit guys say to women when they reject - or even appear to reject them. Women are scared of straight rejecting guys cause they get abuse at best and potentially violence. As another poster said, many women have been killed by men they rejected (before and after a relationship).

As for this ultra fragile, gigantic female ego thing - ffs, no-one likes rejection but you deal with. When I've (female) been rejected it might've hurt for a bit, but sooner or later you feel better, shrug your shoulders and think "Ah well, someone else 'll take me, better go find him".

Women don't commonly approach for a wide range of historical, cultural, and evolutionary reasons. Fear of rejection is only one. It's never been our culture for women to initiate or approach; that is changing a bit, but may not change completely.

Books like The Rules still teach women not to approach, they argue it doesn't seem feminine to men and ultimately puts them off.

I think about it and you are correct OP.

The maddest I've ever had a sloot mad at me was when I rejected her because she was still living with her "ex".

She of course didn't bother to mention that until I was on my way to pick her up for a date.

Many but not all believe a pretty face is an entitlment and since most guys are beta ****s who drop and give 20 to any chick that looks good they are use to being worshiped. When the rare instance occurs wherr she runs across a guy who's not going to belittle himself just cause she looks good thethey have an emotional reaction they are not accustomed to and they run off stomping their feet in the dirt.

Props to the OP for being real

This. Many women are terrified of rejecting a guy, and are unaware of how he can respond. I have two sisters and I am concerned for their safety, so I tell them to turn down the guy in a nice way or say they have a boyfriend even when they don't. Men don't like hearing no's but they usually do back off upon hearing of a boyfriend.

Logically, since women have so many more options than men, they can handle rejection much better than men can. There's a pretty high chance that your average guy is desperate and will take what he can get, which is why rejection hurts him so much. To him, that's another door closed in a series of limited options.

Honestly, with the amount of power women have over the dating market, they should be the ones who approach. I wish it were like that.

I agree that simply feeling the sentiment isn't, butfeedingthe sentiment is.

IME there is a certain kind of pleasure from hating and feeling anger towards a group.

I remember Ann Druyan spoke about it. She said, based on primatology, tribalism is a genetic pre-dispostion - and if we are honest, it can feel really good to hate someone, to finger point.

I agree with her, there is pleasure in hating. I do get a feeling of pleasure from finger pointing.

I don't want to sound 'spiritual', or like I'm more developed than I am but...

I try to commit to deriving pleasure from a sense of connection, rather than finger pointing.

I believe we can identify trends within a demographic, without assuming that every individual within that demographic embodies those trends.

If you get a feeling of pleasure from finger pointing and belittling other people to make feel good then you truly need a shrink and I assure you there is nothing Alpha in that behavior at all.

We should all aspire to be just like Ghengis Khan!!

I'm guessing that was aimed at me.

Being a human being, you've probably treated someone like crap, even because you were 'in a bad mood'.

And if so, have you ever felt some kind of pleasure (eg. a release of tension, catharsis, a feeling of superiority, etc)?

You probably felt bad afterwards, but in the moment, you never felt a feeling of pleasure making someone else feel bad?
and I assure you there is nothing Alpha in that behavior at all.
Alpha just means the highest person in a given social hierarchy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_(ethology)

You can be alpha, and be anywhere on a moral spectrum. Hitler was the alpha male in Germany.

I do know women who initiate, I have initiated myself. I don't know how common/uncommon that is - haven't made a study of it.

What I would say - as I've said in two threads on the subject of approach/initiation - is that many many girls who like a guy will hang around him like a dog round a butcher shop's door.

They 'initiate' by putting themselves in his proximity, being open & available to start talking, trying to catch his eye etc. etc.

Women are on average less aggressive than men, they aren't wired to be as direct in any way (evolutionarily; direct doesn't pay when you're physically weaker and likely to be pregnant half the time). They're also less likely to be driven by looking for (only) sex in the way that'll motivate many guys to approach - to state the obvious women aren't wired exactly like men, why expect them to interact like men.

Yes, of course I've done and said things I did not mean in a moment of anger or emotional upheaval but there was no feeling of superiority or any feelings at all for that matter cause things like that are generally done as an emnotional backlash done in the moment! This is why u regret. It moments later or feel bad or sad at the hurtful things you said to someone.

This stuff could easily be mistaken as just being friendly.

They shouldn't, I'm just frustrated at how difficult it is to initiate when you're not what women look for.

Rejection hurts. I've never lashed out at being rejected and if its a random encounter (online, going up to someone I've never met) then I dont take it personally and just move on. If its someone I have known and gotten to know and fallen for them and they reject me Its extremely painful. Had this happen twice in my life once in high school with a guy I was crushing on for 3 years and another in college who I was friends with but fell for him (my confession to him ruined our friendship). I was upset but I didn't take it out on them. I'm a pretty polite person so I'm not rude to people unless they are rude to me first. Both guys let me down pretty gently and I just avoided them after that.

If a female is getting upset after you reject her you are probably being a dick about it or shes taking it as a personal insult that you would not want her. Knowing the way you post on here its probably the former.

I think you are in the minority, but you sound like a great guy (srs).

I suspect most people, would admit to feeling a sense of pleasure from triggering anger (by being passive-aggressive, or belittling), triggering shame (through belittling), or intimidating. At points in their life.

I agree that people who do that chronically, need to embark on personal development.

I hold a very high opinion of myself but if I approach a sloot and she says no or uses any go-to to tell me to fuk off, I shrug and fuk off. Flipping out on women doesnt make us look better, fuk, anything we do doesnt make us look better. Better to look bad than to look worse though

A lot of chicks do approach, but those are the 'hot and cold girls'. Hot---They act like theyre into everything about you, reply to texts reasonably and actually have a conversation. Then she acts cold---Uninterested, lined her next cock up, ghosts you out of no where.

Honestly, this year nothing made me happier than insulting and turning down the girl who turned me down when we were in highschool. I wish I could do that to all the women that have made me feel like chit in the past.

As the semester went on I was always nice to her and treated her like a friend, but she got exponentially bitchier, and by the end I would say "hey" when I got to class and she would ignore me. I honestly wanted her as a friend, I wasn't just being nice, I liked her as a person and she had connections, but oh well. She kept trying to go out of her way to show me she didn't like me anymore.

During finals week I needed some info from a day I was absent and she was the only one in the class I knew so I e-mailed her to ask her if she knew the answer - no response. Amazing how a girl can't even act like a decent, civilized human being with a guy who doesn't want to bang her.

She apparently thought she had rekt me and that she'd gotten the last laugh, because the next year after summer break, she came up to me at my locker to say hey and talk with me. I apologized for how I treated her last year, and told her the only reason I never hung out or called her is cause I was really busy. I asked her if she wanted to hang out that Friday - she tried to play it cool and told me she'd text me her address, but I could see in her face that she was on Cloud 9 and that her heart was about to burst. She texted me her address and I no-showed and never responded or talked to her again. I wasn't sure at the time whether I had mildly annoyed her or if I'd succeeded in shattering her heart, but I realized it was the latter a couple weeks later when one of her countrymen stormed into my cubicle in the library and threatened me LOL.
I'm sorry, but why would you not smash a 5-6/10 who has connections?? Thats just shooting yourself in the foot.

TBH from the rest of your story you sound like a beta male who isnt very good with interaction. You "just wanted to be her friend"??? Yeah right, sounds to me like you're still too much of a pussy to put your dick into a vagina

inb4 you're a virgin too

Had this happen twice in my life once in high school with a guy I was crushing on for 3 years and another in college who I was friends with but fell for him (my confession to him ruined our friendship). I was upset but I didn't take it out on them. I'm a pretty polite person so I'm not rude to people unless they are rude to me first. Both guys let me down pretty gently and I just avoided them after that.

If a female is getting upset after you reject her you are probably being a dick about it or shes taking it as a personal insult that you would not want her. Knowing the way you post on here its probably the former.
im thinking the biggest telltale of women "getting mad"

is prob more guys leading them on and then being haphazard about it.. so mixed signals and then being lied to. where the girl started to develop feelings out of false signals.

ive definitely had girls mad at me but i cant really articulate why. add on top of this people are also just in different points of their lives, so perhaps being rejected is just another frustration in a temporary long line of frustration.

however, ive had a few females have LONG term crushes. my mother owned dance studios and i was a very good athlete within the community and so were my brothers.

i never really liked any of them. one of them i grew up with as a neighbor and she had a crush on me HARDCORE. like forever.

i would always just let the interaction dissipate. i can't ever say that i ever saw her get mad. she did make a few offhand indirect comments about things that were insults aimed towards me but i never saw her get mad and we've definitely interacted since then.

i cant think of any of the girls who had long term crushes on me getting mad. but i can think of a few random encounter things where the woman got angry

Its not that we're leading them on. It's like that other poster said. Women put themselves out there just by showing up. We cant tell if they're just being friendly or they're seriously into us. Some of us dont want to look like creeps or look stupid so we get wishy washy. A lot of girls actually act platonically WITH EVERYONE, so you think "oh she expects me to be another orbiter, I'll just play it cool I guess". If you call them out on it and try to see whats up then they do the "you're arrogant and think too highly of yourself" bullchit.

For a lot of people, flirting is like saying "hello" so it becomes tangled in bullchit trying to figure out feelings

I think evolutionary psychology is given more credibility than is warranted (due to the explanations being untestable, and based on inference), but I do agree with the observation...

"In a 2008 study in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, a group of international researchers compared data on gender and personality across 55 nations. Throughout the world, women tend to be more nurturing, risk averse and emotionally expressive, while men are usually more competitive, risk taking, and emotionally flat. But the most fascinating finding is this: Personality differences between men and women are the largest and most robust in the more prosperous, egalitarian, and educated societies. "

Being more risk-averse in dating, would mean being less likely to risk rejection.

What is your major malfunction that most of your posts consist of unprovoked chit-talking?

You need a hug?

OP: Women are more sensitive/emotionally volatile and seem to place more self-worth on outside validation /thread.
