In general Labradors and Golden Retrievers.

They dominate pretty much every service dog industry because of their willingness to please, happiness, intelligence, and trusting nature.

These characteristics have led to them being number 1 in virtually every country.

There is no best. Breeds have unique characteristics, personality traits, etc. It's merely finding the ones that fit your personality and lifestyle.

We all have our biases and many will pick a breed that they've owned. But I'm sure if given another breed you'd love that dog too since they are in general an awesome species.

Depends on your lifestyle brah.

You want a chill dogs that cool with being lazy?

You want a running buddy?

Want a cold weather dog that can go snowshoeing/skiing with you?

Etc etc.

I'm a fan of German Shepherds myself.

huskies are PITA. no matter how well you train them they'll still be stealing chit off the counters, rummage through kitchen drawers and cabinets, etc. as soon as you turn your back. Plus they are escape artists.


My recommendation is to get a large breed. Big dogs are the chillest and don't bark at everything.

Just make sure to get a european working line gsd (straight back) and not the north american ones (sloped backs) that are prone to hip problems.

My pupper, he has sand on his face, no decease or something. Wouldn't say Rotties are the best breed though. I like having a goofy macho f*ktard walking around the house, but a lab/golden is a lot easier.

this is very true. the shedding is real. there is no offseason. some times are better than others but there is always, always shedding happening.

Not true necessarily. Mine has nevee taken anything off counter or from cabinets and got out once. We had an unknown hole in the fence. He came back immediately when called.
Dogs are trainable and any "behavioral" traits can be taken care of most of the time, especially if you have them from a puppy stage. These stereotypes are the same as saying all pitbulls will bite ppl.
