Apparently was a standoff in Mexico between a drug cartel leader and law enforcement . . . Mexican marines decided it needed a little more cowbell to end it.

Need to get back to the range soon . . . been far too long since I shot the last time.

Wana throw a scope on my AR and take off the eotech. I know some sights specify calibers. Never owned a scope before. Would this work on an AR-15? Only want to shoot to 300 yards max.

RIP Hal Moore

From the Family: "We regret to report Lt General Harold G Moore Jr passed away in his sleep on February 10, 2017, also the birthday of his wife, Julia, who passed away in 2004. Mom called Dad home on her day. After having a stoke last week, Dad was more lethargic and had difficulty speaking, but he had always fought his way back…
By the time we held an early birthday party on February 9th, Dad could no longer speak and was visibly tired. Upon seeing his cavalry Stetson, his iron will forced a final communication to his beloved West Point, his precious soldiers and the US Army. This video shows his final hand salute. God bless our Dad. Keep and protect him.

on a non gun note, suprsingly hit 80'sx4 on db press today. Pretty surprising since I haven't gone above 45's for a while now (been doing a "program" where the focus is more in resisting on the negative, slower concentric contraction and squeezing at the "top" of the lift). anyhow, inb4 dear diary/i warm up with that.

Next more "budget" bourbon to test in the rotation starting tomorrow. The brand is somehow fitting . . . can't quite put my finger on it, though.

I don't remember whether or not I commented on it last night or not. John Wick II was great. Very little requires complete suspension of belief. Guns run dry after a reasonable number of rounds fired. Reloads have to actually happen, a lot. Single gunshots don't "instakill" people unless they're through the face.
The only thing that was a little circumspect was their treatment of silencers, which, whatever, it's hollywood.

If I'm going to end up pretty close to Bulleit anyway in the end trying to save some $$, then I might as well just keep getting that and splurge on the Breckenridge to have occasionally.Good. It would be better to get these memberships vs pay every visit.. BRB 20 an hour at most places or 20 for the whole day (at the membership place), but if I go twice a month or 4 like I want to, it would add up to 40 (2 visits a month) - 80 (4 visits a month) which is 240 (for 2 visits a month for 6 months) - 480 (4 visits a month for 6 months). Might as well just pay 200 or 350 and go as much as I feel like it at a cheaper cost.

...but sometimes I just wanna mag dump a silhouette at 7 yards.
And yes, use your carry gun at the range. It's the weapon you want to be proficient with.
