If what you're trying to do is quickly engage a target, you'll be able to hit something "person sized" with a 1x red dot faster than with a 4x scope.

As long as you can see it with your eye, the red dot is going to be better. Where the scope helps, is with making more precise shots, grouping shots more closely, or shooting at something that gets far enough away that you need a crisper reticle.

Ugh . . . hope the little one gets to feeling better soon! My mom called the other day and she had come down with shingles. Don't think she got it from me--but it's the 2nd time she's had it. Lucky her. She caught it fast and got on the anti-viral so she should have a pretty (relatively) easy time with it.

I just got done putting a new battery in the "new" Escape. Not sure what kind of cheap azz battery was in it, but it died twice already . . . so in goes a Die Hard. I'm sure I could have called the dealer we got it from and made them give us a new one, but was faster/easier to just solve it myself in an hour with a run to Sears.

200 for 6 months, 350 for a year (comes out to like 30 a month), or this new range that is clean and well lit for 35 a month.. I'll just take the 35. 35 a month for range + 100ish for ammo a month = 135 a month. I mean thats not bad at all for me

But I love the spring loaded pliers. They hold up well and are cheap enough you can buy 3 of them. One for the range bag, one for the car, one for the nightstand drawer. I use these more than anything because they are so cheap I have them everywhere. They hold up pretty well. I haven't broke one yet.

I don't know much about multi-tools but since you've only gotten a couple responses I'll say that the one the Army issues has been great for me. I have a few of them. One in my range bag, one at the house, one in my work bag that I use heavily. Never had an issue with any of them. I'm sure there are better ones out there, but I haven't had a need for anything more and you can't beat the price.

I've never fuxxed with the ******** group. I lurk on the forums and there's some decent info (and drills) on there. ******** versions of forums are hit and miss. Arf FB group was okay, but then I got banned for making a three peniser / moist labia / oath eater joke on a woman's 3% post lmao.

Baked up a frozen lasagna from Costco for dinner . . . very tasty. About $12 and fed 4 of us (including seconds for my son and daughter). And we still have about 1/3 of it left. Will have to keep that in the rotation for dinners.

Made a chicken tikka masala from scratch for dinner...very tasty. About $18 and will feed the two of us all week. With cauliflower rice it's virtually carb-free and keto friendly. And we still have 7/8 of it left. I don't know how Birds-Eye did it but this cauliflower rice has no stank to it and actually has the consistency of rice with almost zero carbs. Will have to keep that in the rotation for dinners.

Very simple procedure to make tikka masala. Make a bunch of garlic ginger paste. 1 big piece of peeled ginger blended with a half cup of oil and about 20 cloves garlic. Make spice mix with coriander, cumin, garam masala, turmeric, black cardamon, salt and pepper. Marinade chicken breast chunks in 2 cups yogurt mixed with half of garlic ginger paste and half of spice mix. After marinating chicken for several hours, grill until browned but not completely cooked. Meanwhile saute several serrano and jalapeno peppers, and onion, in ghee or melted butter. Then add tomato paste, brown that, add fresh diced tomatoes and cream, and bring to a simmer. Blend with a hand immersion blender, loosen with water and cream, adjust salt and pepper, then add chicken and bring to a simmer. Then add a handful of chopped cilantro, simmer to thicken, then turn off heat. Serve over rice with na'an or over cauliflower rice to be low carb.

I was typing the tikka masala recipe as I went. I have gone through many versions and I have heard at many dinner parties that mine is the best the guests have had. The key is the ginger garlic paste and the garam masala spice mix. You use half the paste and the spice mix to marinate the chicken breast chunks along with yogurt. The other half go into the sauce with sauteed serrano peppers, onions, tomatoes and cream. The spice mix is black cardamon, turmeric, coriander, cumin, garam masala, salt and pepper. Fenugreek is optional but not necessary. You also need lots of ghee or pure butter like Plugra. People are going nuts right now at my tikka masala. I got this sh!t figured out.
