used to have one in my yard too, can confirm...evil little buggers, basically have to just rake them up and throw them out immediately after they drop, they actually get sharper and worse the longer you allow them to dry out.

Dear MFC diary

Finally got in to the orthopedic surgeon. Suspects I have a SLAP tear in my right shoulder. Sounds like I'll avoid surgery for now, but I'm probably lifting granny weights for 6 months

Dr tells me to do dumbbell stuff if I'm going to lift, says don't bring the dumbells together at the top though.

Tried it this morning with little ol 30 lbers. Every time I got them too close at the top, I could feel my shoulder slide around inside the joint. Disgusting

Does this doctor know anything about lifting? Any sports medicine background or experience or something? Because that just sounds kind of dumb and most docs are far too willing to give out full retard lifting advice...stay safe

I have Arlos. 9 original Arlos and 2 Arlo Qs. I am about to upgrade to Arlo Pros and at least one or two Arlo Go, which are new ones that work on sim cards and don't need the wifi connection. The Pros are supposed to have faster passive infrared triggering than the originals.

I had some problems with them at the beginning, but they have been rock solid for the past year in my new place. I like the Qs for indoors. They are plug-in for power, are very clear, and have duplex audio. I can talk to people (more often dog and cat) in my house when I'm out. The Go will allow me to not completely rely on internet connection. Also the new base station has a programmable audible siren. And as mentioned the Pro has faster passive infrared motion sensing. So Netgear is really stepping their game up on these.

Great to hear. I'm thinking of doing the 2 camera set to start. Are the pros worth the price addition in your opinion? It looks like a pro system is the same price as the 2 cam normal system. How is your battery life?

If you can get Pros for the same price as the base version, there is no contest. I would shoot for the maximum of five cameras on the free cloud plan to start. Unless you think you can get full coverage with two. I change out my most active camera batteries about once every 3-4 months. 4 CR123 batteries each. The Pros have fixed rechargeable batteries, I don't know how long those last. Same for the Go.

Sorry meant to say a 1 camera pro is the same price as the normal 2 camera system.

Good to hear you've had good luck with them. I've been reading a lot of reviews trying to see if the Arlos were the way to go.
