The big problem is that people have ignored their responsibility of reading critically, separating fact, bias, and falsehoods. Remember when you had to do that in school? Same thing now people.

The office of the presidency has been tainted by the lack of decorum. The president should be above what the media writes about him, do your job and carry on with your responsibilities. Let the media report what they want (as per freedom of the press), and the people can decipher the information they need from their sources.

The reason we have this liberals vs gop divide is because the vast majority operate with minimal information and accept everything at face value.

10 years ago maybe, but watch them these days. CNN is now by far more biased than almost all of them listed combined.

While their news isn't fake, it's about as biased as you could possibly get. They will hear 100 news reports, select the worst sounding one, tweak the words a bit and report on it in order to bring anger towards the president. "Fake" was never a good word for them, just a horrible news organization. Fox is moving more towards the middle and CNN even way overtook MSN which used to be the opposite of Fox.

Whether or not this is a really bad thing, I'm not sure. I can positively say that after recent years, I despise CNN more than any company I can think of so it's really difficult for me to think about this logically. You can't just silence your enemies, but they truly are bad for the country and it's not just left vs right anymore.
