Dude, you are talking to a Canibus fan. The fact that Canibus is an afterthought in rap and P Diddy is a legend is a disgrace. That being said, LL owned him in this exchange. As hard as Canibus can bring it, he clearly didn't surround himself with the right people to maximize that attack. As far as what Canibus is capable of....he should have been able to reach up above his weight class and take down LL. He didn't. He came close, because 2nd round KO is probably the best diss song a losing artist has ever put out...but he didn't. The song he put out was dope, but LL ended the guys career. History is what it is. Some people are born with a gift. I feel like Canibus was born with that gift, but he was surrounded by inferior people.

None of that matters to me. You either bring it or you don't. Evaluating this track on its own, I don't feel like she brought it. Trying to rap over a ridiculously infamous track was a mistake. She's not on that level.

Can you clarify? Illmatic is possibly the best album put out by one of the best rappers of all time. Coming up short of that is perfectly acceptable. That being said, Big Pun was hot as fuk for a couple of albums in the late 90s, early 2000's. Forget I just crush a lot...remember this song with R Kelley?

Remy ma already has put a dent on nicki dummy, nicki took an L here. If nicki can lay low for a bit, it'll pass yes, but she still took an L. But if she comes back from it, thats a W. Ultimately, this won't end her career or nothing, but it did put her business out in the streets, (hence the use of the word expose)

Guys let's be real. Remy Ma had her time back in the day. She was a thug chick and went hard, much harder than Lil Kim and Foxy Brown. But the truth is her career is burnt/done. She had a little come up recently with Fat Joe and All the Way Up and tried to make a comeback. Part of her comeback is exactly what she is doing right now. She has a little bit of fire under her ass from that track and she's trying to run with it. How best to do that? History tells us that when you're coming up or have a new album out and you want attention, you start dissing the hottest person out. Now sometimes it works (50 cent vs Ja Rule) and sometimes it doesn't (Meek vs Drake).

This is Rem'ys shot in the dark. Because if this fails (and it will if Nikki ignores her), then Remy won't have chit to fall back on except the royalties from this All the Way Up track that will dry up by the summertime.

TLDR; Remy is trying to fast track her come up by calling out (who she thinks is) the best in her genre right now, and that's Nikki.

she didn't need to bother with a direct diss because remy ma is basically unknown in the rap game. no point punching below her weight like that.

Joe buddens diss was just a diss for attention, it was attention seeking

Nicki threw shots first and remy fired back and put all her chit out in the streets, there's nothing more to it. Nicki started this and got her business put out to the world, she took an L, simple as. Fuk record sales, popularity and all that other stuff
