son of illegal Mexican immigrant checking in. My father gained citizenship over time. Currently have a free ride to one of the best universities in the USA. I didn't really have the SAT scores at all but I still got in because of affirmative action so I probably took some smart asian/white kids spot. Feels good feeding off legal citizens tax paying dollars.

Note: I was born here for more context but both my parents weren't. I think they got citizenship during the reagan presidency

Sure you could claim that it was illegal for them to cross the border but after ten years I'm sure some statute of limitations apply lmao... crossing the border isn't murder or rape.

I can understand being against illegal immigration but this isn't right man.
You say that yet they have anti trump rallys waving mexican flags and screaming make california mexico again and saying this is our country not yours. 90% of them dont even bother to learn english and expect people to cater to them

Edit- throw out all illegal aliens and their offspring. A nation haslaws, borders anda culture. Those things cannot be ignored if it is to survive and be strong.

They might not have a legal, constitutional, w.e right to be in your country but that doesn't make it right to kick people out of the country they have lived in for 10/20/30+years...
Yeah exactly. If some of these illegals dont have criminal records, have been living in the country peacefully and just working, it's fair to say that they've assimilated into American culture and even more so for the children who're pretty much american because that's what they know. They wouldnt know "mexican" culture. Whether they can speak spanish or not is a different matter, but they're far more american than they are "mexican".

Why kick them out? how about instead begin a process where they can be naturalized.. they can pay a fine too since they willingly broke the law. Obviously if they're bad hombres they have to go back no question.

edit - So he has multiple records and a DUI to boot? sounds like a bad hombre that has to go back.

Even if this is trolling...this criminal and his criminal father should be in prison and then deported. That would be appropriate.

Giving amnesty, anchor babies or paths to citizenship is incentive for more illegals. Throw them all out and discontinue those policies is the only way. 20 million illegals and countless millions of "citizens" (anchor babies and amnesty) are stealing and have been stealing from every American citizen and legal immigrant that does it the right way.

If he didn't have a criminal past I would have some compassion. You want to come to this country illegally? Fine, I would do the same, lets be real. Only I would do my best to be an outstanding citizen, not commit crime and ****.

For those of you that are against this...

- The dad had "multiple prior criminal convictions, including a DUI in 2009, as well an outstanding order of removal dating back to 2014."

- So he came into our country either illegally or become illegal afterwards (over stay their visa's)

- Now he's living here illegally and has multiple prior criminal convictions and an outstanding order of removal since 2014

I'm mind blown that anyone thinks sending this guy back is a bad thing (he is getting sent back right?)
- I'm sorry; I couldn't hear your complaints over the sound of all this freedom!

Best way would have been never to let them in in the first place then you guys wouldn't be dealing with this headache, the wall can't go up soon enough

your laws and constitution have changed many times.

If those particular set of rules are set in stone as being 100% right then why change anything? Why amend anything?

Because society changes.. and so do laws and constitutions.

Look I'm not saying illegal immigration is a good thing. Illegal immigrants that cause crime, "protest" the president, arent employed and don't pay taxes, should go. I don't think many people can logically argue otherwise.

But why kick out the ones that work full time, pay taxes, go to school, don't have a criminal record, etc?? There are many Americans that you should kick out of America before you kick out these people.

What does "immigrant" mean if you're not a citizen by birth. Everyone applies for citizenship? How old? Do your parents do it for you?

A legal immigrant. If you are a minor only your parents can do it and if you are an adult you do it yourself. If illegal or a child of an illegal alien then you absolutely should not have the right to stay.

If you don't become a citizen for being born here there isn't much of a difference between someone born here or an "immigrent" - everyone would have to apply for citizenship.
