Haha so this sadly! Had full blood test done recently though and I am very healthy!

I'm 6ft 2.

Of course I wish I was more jacked but I made my peace with that and I feel fantastic.

Thanks so much for the kind words guys.

Did you actually try training like a bodybuilder and not a powerlifter before you went full calisthenics mode?

Exactly the route I'm going for OP, however, I still plan on incorporating weights into my routine.

I would much rather go for an athletic build and cater my routine so I don't neglect two other important aspects, which are mobility (we'll also include flexibility with this) and cardiovascular endurance. I often neglected these two which resulted in injuries and poor athletic performance and me ultimately feeling like ****. Props to you my bro.

Thanks so much man. Absolutely hence adding in the kettlebells and weighted pullups. I will at some point throw in some compounds, but calisthenics will be my core forever.

I don't do any tricks with the exercised no. My progress has been simply able to do more reps, better form, holding plank positions longer etc.

Meh, if you like how it makes you look and feel, then keep at it.

Low carbs? No thanks, Geoff. No weight training? No thanks, Geoff.

To each his own on that one... Looking lean though.

That's awesome dude.

I've switched to calisthenics and olympic lifts only (sub a few compound lifts). I have injuries and it seems any machine or isolated exercises won't be helping that.

Gaining lean size and strength like a muafaka. But I'm also eating 4kCal+ per day.

I'm 6'3.

Repped.

Also, gotta give props to certain classes like yoga and pilates. Flexibility and the opportunity for those smaller, hidden muscles to work is doing wonders for me.

Wow thanks so much for the kind words guys, really means a lot to me.

My routine takes 30 minutes, but it's intense. As long as I get the 5 workouts in a week I don't care how they fall. Some weeks it's 5 workouts in a row then 2 days off, other weeks I break the days up. Sometimes I train early AM, other days into the night. I recently opened a restaurant so my schedule is crazy right now.

Low carb may not be for everyone but I feel great on it. I like the feeling if being light and a little hungry. As long as I get my fats which are fish oil caps and cooking in olive oil, coconut oil and butter (varied with each meal) mentally I'm great.

Must be a good pic bro none of my bodyparts are "big". Traps have some nice shape maybe just leftovers from the heavy deads I used to do back in the day.

Yes I did try bodybuilding workouts for very long periods but nothing has come close to how good I feel and how strong my core is doing calisthenics.

Thanks man and good for you. I walk so much better now and have a spring in my step. Also little things like I can rush around in the summer without my clothes sticking to me with sweat.

I do much better with the girls now too! I will always be in awe of the huge physiques and get pumped up watching old Arnold movies....but God did not mean for me to look that way myself lol.

I'm going to guess when you were lifting that you lacked frequency, and now the results you're getting from calisthenics are from increased frequency.

Im mirin a lot of things about this thread op. Your toned pics. Your 1999 join date. That you were in the 1000 pound club. That your new routine and diet keeps you shredded.

If youre pushing this as a great way to transition into a routine that keeps you toned and stress off joints and lifting injuries im all for it. If youre saying 140 pound 18 year old Timmy should do what youre doing and expect people to notice, not realistic imo. He will just look small and like he doesnt lift. But i think the map youre laying out for people that did put the time in with the weights is a good one.

6'2 180lbs tho...

OP, can you enter what you eat in myfitnesspal and show us the macros or calculate it yourself? Want to see what you're hitting since I did want to try keto diet.

Do you wear smaller size clothes now?

OP, I'm trying to get lean and have started Keto. What are your max net carbs and how much volume are you doing per workout? I ask about max net carbs because 25g seems insane. My green smoothie with no fruit, juice, etc. is already at 12-14g, which meanas I can basically eat nothing with carbs the rest of the day

Great post. Absolutely not pushing anything other than what has been working for ME. I have no agenda at all other than being proud of myself. To use bro words yeah I would have built a "base" with the weights that I have now just chisled down.

You are welcome to put my diet into a calculator but I'll be damned if I can be bothered to do that myself lol.

5 whole eggs
500g chicken
1.5 cups peanuts
1.5 cups cashews
125g motzarella cheese
2 cups green beans or spinach
2 table spoons coconut oil
2 table spoons olive oil
2 table spoons butter

For legs I do bodyweight jumping squats, jumping lunges and now some kettlebell stuff, amongst a few other things.
