my soul left my body after I started wearing glasses and my hair started thinning. Went like this...25, 26, 27 , 28, 35...thankfully propecia pushed me back to my actual age.

I think balding is the only thing that could defeat me.

Gonna have to be considering propecia in the near future.. Just scared of the side effects.

Instead they are now stuck for 40+ years in a mediocre income job they don't enjoy, working with people they dont like, just living an average life paying bills and going on the occasional vacation. Only having the weekends to look forward too. It's a sad, sad world for the majority of people in society.
There isn't even much to do on the weekend unless you have a lot of money. I do some stuff sometimes but most weekends I sit at home or drive around looking for something to do all day if it's nice outside. Again this is what happens when you are about 30 years old. People in their early 20s don't do this because all they have to do is drink some alcohol or something

Idk guys I'm 26 and my life is pretty positive.
-positive outlook on everything
-single, no kids, smash randos because relationships are silly to me
-job pays wells, I youtube and Misc most of the shift

-tons of hobbies
-tiny amount of debt

I think most mid-20's give up if they haven't "made it" by now because they compare themselves to the ceo 10k/day 19 year olds on IG or the 9/10 fit hbb who lives off of sponsorships.

Don't compare yourselves to social media *******s and just do you boo

Two words: Wife, Kids

Very Srs...I am the only one of my friends who isn't either married with kids or divorced at the ripe age of 27. Anyone i know who's married with kids looks 10 years older than me. The constant pressure to keep up with the Joneses, working 50 plus hours a week, running kids back and forth, listening to a spouse complaining all the time, etc. I'm not saying family life is bad, but in contrast to my life where i work an 8 to 5, get a decent workout in, and usually a full 8 hours of sleep every night, its a huge difference. I am also way better off financially than most of my friends because i am only supporting myself (which means less stress). Stress is the #1 factor in making people look old a phuck.

So many feels ITT. I don't have a bad life by any means. I have a great family, a beautiful daughter and I'm engaged to a great woman.

Work is what really destroys my soul. My biggest problems is that I don't have passion for anything really outside lifting. I cant think of a career that pays as well as my cubicle job to pursue. So I'm stuck wage slaving to live my life and enjoy my time outside of work. It's just utterly demoralizing coming to the same place, day after day with no chance to advance or make a difference. I live in a horrible area job culture wise and finding ANYTHING, let alone something fitness related, that pays 75% of what I make has been impossible. I look almost everyday.

Outside that I really have no complaints.

Depends on the quality of job.

If you work a high quality job you enjoy, you can come out at 5pm full of energy and use the rest of your time productively. You can hit the gym, go on a date, do a fulfilling hobby etc.

If you work a low quality job, you come out at 5pm and all you want is a Big Mac, 6 pack of beer and Netflix. Then you end up in a downward spiral and life keeps getting worse and worse.

Being miserable is easy and it's easy to get cynical about life.

I truly believe that happiness is a choice, possibly even a "cope" but I choose to be happy.

That being said it does suck ass that real life means getting a 9-5 and the majority of your day and life is spent at work. Even if you like your job somewhat, which I do, it's not ideal. It's hard not to think about how I don't really like what human civilization is or has become. Sitting at a computer doing pointless work all day.

and of course all of the childhood aspirations of being a famous athlete/astronaut/super rich start to whither away as you sit in a cubical making a couple of bucks more than minimum wage, and the bosses know they have you by the balls. They payjustenough to keep you from leaving but not enough to enjoy life.
