No pics, but best I ever looked was at 195 and around 12% bf. Still couldn't see my abs. I honestly gave up on it; some of us just have chit-tier genetics for aesthetics.

AVI is 205, not terrible, but a bit of a belly. Just refuses to go away.

Best I ever felt was 235 probably 20% bf with a powerlifting total of 1500 and running a 24 minute 5k, eating whatever I wanted and drinking a gallon of beer a night minimum (100% srs). Looked like a fat dude with 19" fatceps and a fat ass, but literally didn't care.

Dont have pics but when i was 17 i was like 175 when i was about 10%. I had been lifting for 2 1/2 years at that point. And thats considering i didnt hit legs hard back then. Dont know if thats impressive or not for 5'10. Wish i wouldnt have broken that chitty iphone 5 with all my pics.

Im cutting down from a bear bulk at almost 25% bf so ill post before and after pics when i get done with that. Maybe ill be a little bigger this time and look more impressive. Who knows. Coulda put on a few solid lbs over the years.

166 lbs right now, 5''8. in misc terms, that means i don't even lift.

im nowhere near as big as most brahs in here but yeah, avi is what one year of lifting can get a subpar genetic asian male

most of it is genetics but anyone with average genetics can get pretty jacked naturally imo. If you're on a chit diet and training program though you wont be getting very far

Ah cool, I'm 5'11 aswell. Currently 193lbs, but I'm probably 14-15% BF, still have somewhat visible abs, but faded serratus. I'd be extremely happy to maintain your physique, it has honestly inspired me to cut to that level once I feel I have enough mass. You have decent strength aswell, you've pretty much made it.

In terms of strength; you could always gain more. But in terms of muscle mass; I can't imagine getting much better than that, looks very close to natty limit. Respect mate.

So I've recently gotten pretty lean - see avi (that's actually old, but I got back to that level of leanness).

My regimen for the bulk of time spent getting lean was fasted cardio/workouts + IF (10 hour window).

Now that I'm wrapping up my cut, I want to bulk but maintain my level of leanness, or at least not drift too far away.

Would you think that reducing my feeding window to 4-6 hours would help with that? Or should I just focus on calories in/out?

I toyed with the idea of a zig zag diet (-20/+20%) but heard that it was wheel spinning so I'll most likely just stay at a very moderate surplus (1-2lbs/month).

Being strict is a nonissue for me - I have weighed all my food for years and it's second nature at this point.

Thanks
No disrespect but do you not feel you should gain more mass?

Sorry for the potato quality. Not sure on my bf here but it's the leanest I've ever been (I was 103kg and obese at 5'11 at the beginning of 2015).

Also have some gyno that hasn't fuked off since puberty, so I'll need to look at ways to get rid of it.

The pic doesn't do my legs justice, but I want to bring them up some more so I'm training them twice during my current bulk (two weeks in). I'm also paying the price for not hitting my abs and traps as hard as I should have, so I got work to do to bring them up aswell lol

So, I've tried small feeding windows (2-5 hours), regular feeding windows (8ish hours), alternate day fasting, many small meals throughout the day, messed around endlessly with macronutrients, yadda yadda. Through all of this (and through seeing the results that other people get with their own experimentation) I've definitely come to find that the whole "everyone is different" thing is true, so just take that into account.

Anyway, that said, I recently traveled around the world for several months and fell down to ~165lbs. I was very lean, but also had lost a large amount of muscle. So, I had to recently bulk "hard" to get back to where I am now, and I pretty much followed a low-ish carb, but ultimately very high-calorie diet while increasing my volume past where I used to keep it, and I gained back all of my weight and started passing my lifting PRs in a few months. So probably around 100-150g of carbs a day and around 4000 calories per day, always lifting heavy/low reps but adding more volume than usual, and it's been pretty remarkable. That said, so much of that had to do with muscle memory and rebounding, but... hey, a successful bulk is a successful bulk. And I gained almost no fat. If you've been lean for a very long time, you could try something similar.

Oh, right, and I didn't fast at all throughout that bulk. I don't have the appetite to eat 4k calories in even an 8 hour feeding window when I'm keeping carbs low. Final note, too, is that I've been training for around 12 years now in some variety, so my body is pretty good at making me as hungry as "I need to be", so that 4000 calorie figure was VERY wishy-washy. I seem to be getting lazier about this whole training thing but my results keep improving... goes to show you that just sticking with it in the long term counts for a lot!
