It's always funny when the shirts are on, everyone talks about how they don't care and just want to enjoy food. Then the shirts come off and their tune changes and now they want to diet. Sorry brah, but I can tell you're a fat ass with your shirt on too. You ain't foolin anyone with those bish titties and big stomach pushing out your shirt.
Just like staying faithful to the wife, the best path is to not put yourself in to situations that will tempt you to cheat. Be prepared. Bring some snacks, and a pocket pussay.

Deltpecx - I have some fat to shed but rest assured I've got it under control - I'm leaner than I look in the photos. Did a trial run a month ago and changed some things up and very much liked the look I had. My friend who's a national level SHW is being an extra pair of eyes on me and assisting with diet, etc.
I went to the beach today .... first beach worthy day up here .... girls were thirsty as hell lol can't wait for the beach weather to be on the daily

Thought some might find this interesting
A new study suggests that increasing protein intake above 2.0 g/kg is not beneficial to enhance lean body mass restoration following short-term severe energy restriction.
Negative energy balance during military operations can be severe and result in significant reductions in fat-free mass. US marines underwent military training that causes a severe energy deficit and caused on average -3,1 kg FFM in 7 days.
After military training, the marines could eat as much as they want (ad libititum) for 27 days, but were randomized to a high protein diet (2.0 g/kg) or a very high protein diet (3.5 g/kg).
Both treatments restored their fat-free mass during the 27 d refeed period (+3,6 kg), but there was no difference between the treatments.
This may suggest that 2.0 g/kg is already enough for FFM restoration. However, it is also possible that the FFM loss was overestimated due to glycogen and associated water loss due to the intense training period.

1. "They could eat whatever they wanted. This is ALWAYS a poor way to do a study. It leaves us with the question as to whether that threw off the results.
2. How does this apply to bodybuilders? Bodybuilding training and Marine training are extremely different. Bodybuilders also have LOT more muscle mass than a marine going through basic.
We really need to see this study done on BBers with more controls in the diet.

We spoke the other day about passing on this show if he isn't stage condition.

Fuuuuk I’m suddenly ravenous, I mean like eating a meal and my stomach growling again 20 mins after ravenous. Not sure where this appetite has come from but it’s weird. I have been taking L-acetyl carnitine, garcinia cambogia and green coffee bean extract but it can’t be related to those, surely. The cut I’m doing isn’t even that drastic either (only started it again on Monday after a week’s break) but I’ve honestly never felt this hungry, wtf?! Had my last meal late last night as well to try and stop me feeling hungry in bed, didn’t work. One thing I’m thinking though is that I felt wiped out over the weekend and since then I’ve had a sore throat/cold symptoms – I’m wondering whether my body is craving extra fuel to fight this off?
Any experience or tips? Feeling the desire to get some kind of suppressant before I eat my own hands – any recommendations if any?

I get like that too at times. Just before my refeed this last weekend, I was starting to get really nasty and hungry af. I was fine for the first 6 weeks previous to that though.
In the evening, when it's the worst, I like to eat strawberries, blackberries, in a little milk with sweetener, down some Metamucil, and then some light Greek yogurt.
Are you doing any fasting?

well, cutting is finally over for me for quite awhile.
Finished out my year of competing and now its a year of off season training and prepping to compete in nationals. Took 2nd and 3rd place in two back to back shows both were 2nd in mens physique, 3rd in classic physique, enough to get me nationally qualified for another year. One of the shows was the biggest the state has every year so I was very pleased. Learned a LOT about my body and prepping better, learned a LOT of what I need to work on and do to succeed at nationals.
It got really bad a week out making weight. I was still sitting at 15lbs over and literally had to cut liquids to a glass a day for 3 days straight, 3 meals a day which were literally plain 4oz chicken breast 7 oz red potatoes and that was it. By day 3 my brain and body were DONE, was on diuretics flushing any remaining water out of my system and was able to make weight 4lbs under( 6 ft 211lbs). Then i got to refeed and carb load the fuk up for the stage, ate a clean unsalted no cheese hamburger, a sirloin steak, french fries, mashed potatoes, about 12 rice cakes with peanut butter and honey over the course of 6 hours, some more potatoes, some pancakes and eggs for breakfast, and a couple banana nut muffins. The transformation from being completely depleted from basically 2 months of almost no carbs and fats to hundreds of grams of carbs was crazy.
Taking a week to enjoy food mostly unrestricted and then reverse dieting from 2500 calories clean foods up to 4000 calories for about half a year or so then slowly moving back down.

Learned a LOT about my body and prepping better, learned a LOT of what I need to work on and do to succeed at nationals. ...

That last week looked like hell.
She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

2. How does this apply to bodybuilders? Bodybuilding training and Marine training are extremely different. Bodybuilders also have LOT more muscle mass than a marine going through basic.
We really need to see this study done on BBers with more controls in the diet.

Energy and macronutrient intake were determined every 3 d during REFED by Registered Dietitians using 24 h dietary recall and analysis software (Food Processor, version 11.0; ESHA, Salem, OR) to ensure supplement compliance and to characterize ad libitum dietary intake. Since participants consumed the majority (~80%) of their total daily dietary intake from the local military dining facility, a comprehensive nutritional database was developed prior to study implementation to more accurately estimate dietary intake by obtaining information on all foods/meals, menus, menu cycles, serving size, and recipes provided by the dining facility from the dining facility manager. Volunteers were able to report consumption of specific meals (or individual foods) and serving number. No vitamins, minerals, or other nutritional supplements were permitted during the study.
u mirin'?
