They will never go under 100k - 125k, hell I'd even say 150k here in Canada.

Pretty sure only 300 in Canada have been sold out already or the mark up is like +50% advertised price due to "fees" lmao.
I don't get the strategy behind manufacturers making these ultra limited production models, charging so little for them, then just having the dealerships mark them up insane amounts.

Is it a way to reward dealerships that do well? I know the margins on most models are pretty chit.

400 isn't excessive, especially on a larger car. You can use that much power everyday if you really want.

Marketing / attention. Buddy of mine sells Fords, dealership he works for has sold 1 Shelby 350R and sold only 6 Regular Shelbys in an entire year. Ford even loses money on some of them because some floor models end up just biting dust. (regular production shelbys)

I don't know what everyone in here talking about ultra limited production or whatever -- 3,000 cars produced for the USfor a single year?!?! That's not exclusive at all. I was genuinely considering buying one until I saw they're making so many....was honestly disappointed at the lack of exclusivity in production numbers.

Ehhh well a GT350R is like $80k here -- so literally less than half of apparently whatever they go for in Canada.

lol yeah that's not how it works.

their point was just that more safety equipment is required to make repeated passes that fast at an NHRA track (which many aren't). still you could go to any NHRA track and crack off several hits in a regular test-n-tune event and be fine. eventually they may tell you the same, but you're not "banned from going to any tracks" lol.

and after three years your steering wheel buttons will probably be half gone. BRB cant make a pickup truck tranny that will last over 100k with light towing. but hard launching 800+HP on the reg will probably hold up great

There were only 500 made for North America, I am assuming most went to the states.

Here in Canada, cars are overpriced anyways, add hungry resellers who put stripes and call it 1000s of dollars in upgrades.
